No complaints about the quality of your play, but the connection was giving me absolutely nothing on wakeup. I tried to vary my timing but it was hopeless. I thought I'd bust him out just for the sake of it - even though I just started using him - and to my surprise, I was actually able to give you a challenge. I guess you could say I'm proud of myself for that. :wgrin:

I think your biggest one is the cr.lk --> hayate after you connect a first hayate. Mix it up a bit and keep people guessing. Also, no more random super! It's too easy to punish. gg's dazzlkid - connection was touch and go, i didn't bother trying to hit confirm anything because of it. i just noticed you're in the uk matchmaking thread, just as well i didn't drop on you after the first couple lol.

If the connection wasn't sticky, i would AA or dash under the constant jumps, and i would actually combo off the parries. Try not to use the same blockstring, down parry after the uoh kills you and you need to work on throw defence.

after a blocked short you can do another comboed to super, a standing mk, a throw or a option select parry (just a few options there). You like to do UOH and then another short. gotta mix it up. Jumping backwards in the corner is stupid, as is ex hurricain almost everytime. it only works in a bad connection.

Play you when i'm not half asleep, i'll won't eat so many jump ins :)

GGs to AFROM4N. Good shit bro, I had a lot of fun. But if you don't mind, I'd like to share some thoughts with you about our set. From my perspective, I believe that you should be slightly more aggressive with Ryu. First off, use a lot of mix-ups. Ryu's whole game is about either going low, or going high. If you can fool your opponent into thinking that you're going one way, when you're really going the other, than this can be very advantageous for you. Secondly, you should learn how to force me into following your rhythm. Did you see what I was doing to you? I would constantly change the pace of the match just to confuse you and to add pressure. But don't get me wrong, you're still good none the less, lol. I just thought that I would give you a couple of tips - then again, who am I, right? Lol. Take care.

Last but not least, a SUPER GGs to Hiko Chan! That was the longest set we've ever had - usually because the lag always screws us over. As a matter of fact, I think that's the longest set I've ever had, lol. I just have one thing to say ... you are INSANE with Remy! You've got that charge buffering thing down, man! I've never seen anyone shoot out that many LOVs in a row - and so close together too. Your Remy is very, very nice. Your Twelve was equally amazing. Much too fast for me to handle, lol. I had a hard time in trying to keep up with you. Every time I got close enough, or thought that I had you, you were gone! Lol.

Albeit, those were some crazy matches we had, honestly. I guess I enjoyed it so much because I've never really had the chance to play you. Every time I would join your game, it wouldn't last more than one match because of the lag. But today was different. I've been anticipating a set between the both of us for some time now, and I can finally say that I got to play you. Bottom line is: You're good. No question about it. I can't thank you enough for staying for so long. I almost felt bad for signaling last, because I know that you wanted to keep on going. But to be honest with you, it's like 10:00 a.m. here and I haven't even slept yet :rofl:! That's why I had to go. Anyways, thanks again. I look forward to another hardcore set with you. Great Games Dave Notti: The connection started out kind of terrible for the first few matches, but then it just kinda turned up and went flowing and was really clear. I had a blaaaast playing you, but usually after like 40 matches my hands and attention span starts waning, and I start to be silly, and I was trying to get you to do with me, by signaling for a Hugo mirror.

I saw that you became a looooooot more aggressive now, and you don't sit back in the corner, which means you put pressure on me this time, and I'm like okay cool. Cause all of our matches were just in your face knock down drag out action.

Actually - you should play how you did whenever I got my two bars - before that I could almost get in for free, but once my bar maxed out, you never let me get close. Thats how you should be playing the entire round. Very fun set tho - the ONLY thing I found predictable was when you would go for throws, other than that you had me guessing the entire time :tup:

Great Games Dave Notti: The connection started out kind of terrible for the first few matches, but then it just kinda turned up and went flowing and was really clear. I had a blaaaast playing you, but usually after like 40 matches my hands and attention span starts waning, and I start to be silly, and I was trying to get you to do with me, by signaling for a Hugo mirror.

I saw that you became a looooooot more aggressive now, and you don't sit back in the corner, which means you put pressure on me this time, and I'm like okay cool. Cause all of our matches were just in your face knock down drag out action.

I throughly enjoyed our Urien vs everybody matches the most, lol. Thats kind of why I stayed on him, but I tried to pick some other characters as well, and it was just too many hilarious moments happening. Like I had taunted with urien, simply by reaction cause I do it to Alacard, especially on a come back. And then a few matches later, I saw myself being dizzy, and you just standing there, and then I was like "I'm about to get taunt killed", and then Makoto tapped him, and it was just laughter from there on out.

Good and many many games, Dave Notti. I needed a fun set like that, cause people around me just keep dieing, and it's getting really hard to cope with, so thanks.

I started to take advantage and that's what any good player will do once they see it. Go low every now and then to keep people guessing and even back off every once in a while. Connection feels so bloody latent between us though. Even if I mash super on wakeup (I was that fed up with it) your short jab short wins regardless. When I landed a jump in, the follow up combo was almost always blocked or I would eat a throw :( XBL hates me.

You won't be gambling the entire round that way.. although I did eat more than one SA2 that way :wgrin: I used to whiff Ryu's F+HP on the opponents wake-up, and do SA2 when they would try to throw me. It's a 50/ 50 gamble with minimum skill involved, though... Now I go for hit-confirms and mess those up instead.

Dude...last night when I played you, I was kinda dissapointed at the outcome...I hadn't had a showing that bad since a Sandybags match I had last year before I really found the true TRUE purpose of Makoto. Never the less...It was cool...today...WTF, dude you are the man...lol, and not to toot my own horn here...but I guess I needed some sleep or somethin because whooo boy I played a hell of alot better today. (Even though the score was almost the same T___T)

Awesome matches man, was the connection cool for you because it was beautiful for me...I made sure not a single thing was downloading on any of the 5 computers I got and if there was that I'd throw the PC out the window, lol.

btw, does anyone know who djmurda23 is? is he any good? he seem to be one big fool. like declining me for no reason (i dont think ive ever played him, maybe once?) and he's the type that doesnt decline when you join, he just idles. i hate those types, fucking fruitcake.


He's not that good, and either is his connection. Don't waste your time. You'll wipe the floor with him, but the lag spikes will make you want to punch a baby.

MGs Kickassguy. Got no beef with the dude, but EVERY SINGLE win he got was bullshit due to the connection. No beef, but omg it was to frustrating. worst connection I had in ages. I only stayed cause i knew he was on srk... got away with to many unsafe shit, and catching srks when offline, he wouldn't of had a chance to get em out. live is a peice of shit.

You kno, i must admit that i feel the same way. I like the guy... he seems cool and he's got a very decent game but some of the things that he does (random lp. srk that can't be punished because of latency... whiffed or blocked normal followed up by an srk). Again, i like playing against the guy cuz he's got a good pressure game and i like to fight through the good pressure players (it makes me better) but all that other shit is frustrating as hell.

Exactly what I was thinking. Last time we played it was pretty laggy, but I thought this time man we have a descent connection but then here it comes. GG's man. Your game is something else, keep at it.
