If I'm not mistaken, I think they do get a loss if your opponent dropped during a match. It's just that you won't get a win either.

My apologies to Zeroslider but the connection was way too shitty. It seemed fine but then it would spike all of a sudden and fuck shit up. That was happening a lil too frequently. I stayed in for two matches so that you had a chance to even up the score but i just couldn't play like that and i'm sure you couldn't either. Maybe next time. :tup:

XEN MASTER MARK fun set and thanks for staying so long. After not touching 3rd Strike for well over a month and three weeks I was having a hard time playing again. I apologies about the "stupidity" of some of my characters, ie: Elena, Dudley, Chun, Hugo, Makoto & Necro. After my long break my reflexes and execution has suffered a lot and the connection wasn't really helping me readjust to it either. I must say that your Urien is a lot more of a threat than when we had last played. Great job on improving with him, you had me having to switch from Invisible Twelve and rush down Twelve to keep you on your toes. :rofl: I even had to resort to my Goofy Twelve mind games and start doing things like turn invisble and pressing Down repetitively to get you in that "WTF is he doing" mode. Did it work? All in all I had a good time and hope to play again next time I get on... dood!

Yea I hear you man, i think we did play kind of late in the night. Hit me up next time your fresh or semi-fresh. End of the night games are always a bit harsh.

Just a thing or 2 with urien you should watch out for. You should refrain from using c.hp at all cost unless its gaurnteed. Its a nice way to setup uriens juggles and all but it is way to risky. It is a VERY useful tool for urien and capcom tried to balance this move out by making it kind of slow, bad recovery and you can parry it either high or low. You were mainly useing after a whiffed ex-headbutt:confused: or on my wakeup. Usely if good uriens use that move on the opponets wakeup it so that they can cancel into a orb xx aegis. The best way I think (may not be true)is to use it for punishment like a missed shoryu or after a parry. Now that I think about it, you were trying to use the c.hp after a parry but it was when you were wakeing up after a knockdown and you wouldn't wait to see that you got the parry. You would just tap down and then go right into c.hp. By doing that you gave me alot of time to counter your mistake. Just a couple of things to keep in mind.

BTW-One of the urien matches we had your execution was spot on point caught me with some nice juggles FTW.

I'm sorry bout my dudley, i'm not very good with him but he's someone i'd like to learn... i just have to take the time out to do it. Your Yun is pretty solid and you're certainly braver than i am using sa3 for Makoto! I was hoping to see you use it but you switched supers. :sad: Those wakeup supers saved your booty a couple times. :rofl: You've got a nice lineup. The only character that i really hated playing against was Ibuki. I never get to play against any legitimately good ibuki players so we'll have to play more often. Im sorry if you don't recognize the GT (DOK3) but i've been playing on this one for about a week now cuz i let my friend borrow Poppyjr. GG's Yeah Dood 120% Some really nice tricks and traps with Hugo and Necro and some downright crazy combos from your Ibuki. I think there was one match that lasted a total of about 12 seconds! I didn't know what had hit me. :lol:

I dunno how your poke strings with Chun work. It's odd, because I tried exactly the same stuff back one match and got utterly, utterly out-poked at every exchange by your Ibuki. :sad: I don't understand it. Toward the middle of the set I was getting out-poked so badly that I basically resorted to nothing but C.LK. Everything else was beaten out first. XBL hates me :lol: The invisible Twelve works really well. Great to play you again mate! :tup:

I captured our set, but I haven't had the time to watch it yet. I'll post up if there's any really good stuff in there. I'll speak to you first though :tup:


GG's Rage. Very enjoyable set and I captured three matches which look really nice (Including my beast mode perfect :lovin:) The thing is, I won 2/3 of them, which is not at all indicative of how our sets play out. I'll pass them on to you for approval before I post anything.

I agree with all your points. I see my single biggest weakness with Urien is the mad random EX headbutt. When it hits, the damage off it is crazy, but it's risky as hell. I realize I'm using it as a crutch. The simple reason is that my Urien is weak in a lot of other areas and I guess I have to compensate somehow.

You're absolutely right about the risks I take with C.HP, I need to clean it up in general. In a lot of cases though, I just can't verify the parry in our connection. If I wait to confirm it, the C.HP can be blocked by the time it comes out. Really good set. :tup:

GG's Phix. Cool to catch up with you. I dunno if you were talking at any point - there were a few pauses - but I always play with my voice comms disabled :lol:

I played for a long long time yesterday, so I was pretty much beat by the time our set came around. I'll play proper next time. I ran out of disk space late on, so I didn't manage to cam any of our games. Maybe next time! I feel as though I could really make progress in the connection we have - in all the areas that I can't apply my characters in overseas connections. I'm definitely looking forward to another set.

One question; your Tackle into Aegis execution seemed faultless. I'm struggling terribly with this one stick. Especially against a grounded opponent. Any tips?

GG's Rage. Very enjoyable set and I captured three matches which look really nice (Including my beast mode perfect :lovin:) The thing is, I won 2/3 of them, which is not at all indicative of how our sets play out. I'll pass them on to you for approval before I post anything.

I agree with all your points. I see my single biggest weakness with Urien is the mad random EX headbutt. When it hits, the damage off it is crazy, but it's risky as hell. I realize I'm using it as a crutch. The simple reason is that my Urien is weak in a lot of other areas and I guess I have to compensate somehow.

You're absolutely right about the risks I take with C.HP, I need to clean it up in general. In a lot of cases though, I just can't verify the parry in our connection. If I wait to confirm it, the C.HP can be blocked by the time it comes out. Really good set. :tup:

GG's Phix. Cool to catch up with you. I dunno if you were talking at any point - there were a few pauses - but I always play with my voice comms disabled :lol:

I played for a long long time yesterday, so I was pretty much beat by the time our set came around. I'll play proper next time. I ran out of disk space late on, so I didn't manage to cam any of our games. Maybe next time! I feel as though I could really make progress in the connection we have - in all the areas that I can't apply my characters in overseas connections. I'm definitely looking forward to another set.

One question; your Tackle into Aegis execution seemed faultless. I'm struggling terribly with this one stick. Especially against a grounded opponent. Any tips?

Erm yer mostly i only play people i know unless its close to an Rb then i dont touch live if i can help it : /
as for tackle into super do a half circle fwd for the tackle then as it hits just do the last motion and what ever punch you want i like to rinse EX aegis for presure as the start up is so quick and keeps me relativly safe and yer i like to throw lots and lots
As for the headbuts im always charging db man dashing , poking , jumping what ever so i know i can do pretty much what ever ... thats why i was hoping all over the place after i got a feeel for the conection the only thing i couldnt do was walk headbut wich kinda anoyed me but its XBL and it hates that shit :p

It's not so much that I'm trying to use another character as my main. Ibuki will always be my main. She was the first character (other than Ken) who was attractive to me. The fact that back in the day no one either thought she was good or knew how to use her made me want to play her even more. It's just I like to mess around with other characters just to stay in practice and to create variety. I learned the hard way that using those characters in tournaments usually just leads to more trouble. So ninja all the way.

GG's to Bladscar. Good long set like the ones we usually had. Connection was pretty clean too. Have a nice aggressive play style but you need to work on confirming things and just sticking to low blocking on wake up. There's a few good normal attacks with Akuma that you dont use enough. c.MP, close s.MK/MP and a few others. You almost always go for either c.MK or hurricane kicks on the wake up so guessing games are limited for me. You also have a habit of randomly throwing super fireball out when you're clearly not in a position to do it. If it's not going to hit the opponent as soon as it comes out it's probably not worth doing unless they did something with terrible recovery. Oh and the taunts were good too. :smile:

omg that time you dashed right from under the super (right before it would have hit you) and killed me was some sick shit. But ok now i hear where your comin from....alot of times i try to super jump and execute the superfireball before im half way through the rise of the super jump in order to put a "surprise" bitch factor into it.... i used it once (i think that kill that your talkin about) where i shot off a small airfireball then went for the superdirectly after and because of how it came out it probably confused your usual blocking perception and caused you to get hit. i dunno, like i tell PJ alot of shit that seems silly for me to do comes from fucked up execution...im still workin on it homie. glad u can spit them tips out for me tho. :smokin:

SA1 is the super I normally use but that I've been playing sa3 so much, I think I'll use it at an upcoming tourney. Nothing beats "danger" followed by everyone yelling because you pulled it off.

C'mon eish... i could understand you making those remarks if you were some noob but you're not... you're a seasoned vet and you know that's just some people's style of play. He was playing exactly how you SHOULD play with Yun... attack when you have genei-jin and play keep away when you don't. Especially for someone like Ibuki who can lock you down if you give them the opportunity. I'm disappointed that you would try and bag on someone's game like that knowing that it's a completely legitimate style of play (regardless of how much life someone has left). Look, Man i dont wanna argue but i just feel like there was no need for you to criticize his style of play. It's not like he was lag abusing or spamming the same move or anything like that. He actually played very well during those matches. I could sit there and complain that all you do with Urien is random shoulders and headbutts all day but i don't. I respect you as a player cuz i know that you know how to play this game. I have fun playing against you cuz you don't play like a scrub and i can actually learn new things but... Don't know what to do about the connection originalsilks - I reset the router as often as possible. I'll try to get up earlier next time as the connection's better from 3am till about 9am. Generally though, my connection's a pile of donkey balls.

Alacard...that was a fun set. You definitely know a thing or two about every shoto. Even the mighty Sean. LOL. I remember someone double perfecting me with Akuma. I think that was you. Good stuff. If not...good stuff any ways. Been a while since we've thrown down like that online. Connection was pretty good too. Let's do it again sometime.

Gregmar...we got like 2 different sets of games in or soemthing? Good stuff. Necro was cool but Akuma was definitely a bit more of a threat. You have a similar problem to Bladscar...you just throw super fireballs at the wrong time a lot of the time. Learn short short or close s.MK to super and be careful with your air super fireballs. Make sure the opponent is in the air with you or learn to Tiger Knee the super so you dont have all that recovery on the way down. Mix up with some UOH's once in a while as well.

Rage...good stuff. I think I won a few more times than you did but I'm sticking to Ibuki for now on even during online casual fights. I need to learn how to take things seriously again if I wanna do well in any more tourneys. I've gotta be looking for the kill all the time now. So how exactly when do you choose to pick Remy? From what I've heard he's your main but I dont understand how you dont at least use your main once in a while even if it's online.

Sneaky...good stuff. Practicing Hugo makes your defense with Ryu really solid. I felt like I was fighting Shinshay all over again. Lots of good zoning and just blocking and playing the wait game. You definitely had some good tricks and it still amazes me how much damage meaty 1 hit f+MP to super does on Ibuki. Took me like losing 12 games in a row to even start to come back vs. you. I think I just need to learn to be more patient. I left because the lag started to get worse as we played. Still...let's do that again.

Yeah...you watch Japanese Ibuki vs. Yun matches and that's exactly what the Yun player does. Ibuki is the better character (better pokes...basic combos do near 30-40 percent life and half stun etc.) when Yun doesn't have meter so he plays the zone and build meter game until he's at MAX. Then you make one mistake and half your life bar k thx.

Granted if you block well enough he'll have to command grab and that takes off some damage but even that is tough. Definitely Ibuki's toughest match (in the hands of a good Yun player). eISH just doesn't like people running away from his ninja at 7 in the morning. :lol: Which makes sense cuz people run away from my Ibuki like every other tournament match. Which really means eISH has no reason to complain. :razz:

Oh and if DazzleKid posts here...sorry bout the one game...too much lag.
