Wanting to cut big MP3 into smaller parts.

I bet most people have come across MP3s that are over an hour long with several songs. Coincidentally I made a similar thread before about making short clips out of videos, and was suggested to use Virtualdub. Is there anything like that for music files?

Audactiy as mentioned above is a full featured free open source audio editor, i use to use it to cut up our online radio show, you should find your answeres there
