I know "location shouldn't matter." Still I'd like to emperically test this.
I'm currently playing from Madison, Wisconsin on a Charter Cable connection - 1.4 Centrino w/ 640RAM Mobility Radeon 9200. I get no software lag when playing offline.
I think I've played Korea, Carnage, Glassninja, and 3 other people I can't see the names online. I only played one person where the lag made the game unplayable - the rest were quite decent for online gaming. Other than lag, I get some infrequent random disconnects - but nothing major.
