I don't belong on that list at all, either does D-Proto or Crono.

Maxtah, Endy, Roybisel, and fLoE belong on that list for players that are on alot. As for top tier players, you just haven't played them, because they rarely on, if ever. But since this thread was for skill recommendation of who to play with on GGPO, the ones I said above plus, Omen, Inigma, Sabre, akuma, and some others I just can't think of at the moment, they will be available for play often.

I moved, got a new router and can't seem to connect to anyone now. I forwarded the correct ports etc., have no problems playing other games so just been at that point. Some others have tested with me but it seems I'm out of luck unless I call lynksys or something.

I've played pretty much all the top tier guys. I'm not sure how to rank these guys, but I'd say: Floe, Maxstah and Endy are all up there. I'm not sure if I've seen Maxstah ever lose with chun. FLoe has been beastin the tourney / ranking battle scene (#1 right now). Endy > Akuma. So I'm not sure how it goes.

It's difficult to say since top tier guys rarely play their main. They pick like birdie or dhalsim and still beast scrubby ass.

Sometimes you'll see OGs like watson on, but I've yet to see guys like choi or valle.

I think the true top best GGPO top players are: endy22 and Maxstah (I never seen nothing like them in Alpha 2), after these 2 massive/beasts players should come: FloE (this guys is no joke, he's impressive)

so I think it's basicly this:

Top: endy22, Maxstah
Very High: Floe


after that there's others very strong users like Omen, Rockstar, Jinrai, Athelstone, watts, buktooth, Tru-Aj, Mgear1, Cptn Ryu, etc..

btw: my nick at the GGPO is not Akuma anymore (since version 0.21) because got stolen, it is: Akumacombos.

Fl0e is good? Hmm, I'll have to pay more attention next time. Buktooth was very weak the only time I've seen him. My list looks more like this with their notable characters:

Endy22 (Best Ryu player even if incredibly generic, Sodom, Sagat)
Maxstah (best chun-li, evil ryu, best dhalsim player, zangief) I prefer maxstah just due to the fact that if you play endy once, you've played him a 1,000,000 times. His strat doesn't change whereas maxstah has more versatility.
Me (best ken player, best charlie imo, chun-li)
Inigma (tied with sansjoy for best gen, Sagat)
sansjoy (various, don't sleep on this guy, some real skills)

I can't see how good akuma is because the lag is too great to get an accurate view. Other decent guys can only play 1 character, still learning, break down too easily or are not on enough to mention so I won't bother to name them.

Disclaimer: I play on shitty ps2 stick. If you or anyone on this list ever beat me, it's because my stick sucks. If that's not it, then it's lag.

Hey folk appreciate the kind words for Omar (endy) and myself. I rarely post but wanted to say gg's to all the folk out there that still love the little game called A2. Ponder has made it real fun for me to play thesepast couple months with such a outstanding product with ggpo and A2. Seems as time is going on and versions are going up there are more and more people coming out of the wood works. Hope it lasts.....least it should till booty ass A3 is released and all the a2 players migrate. Sorry but A3 killed SF for me. Took the flow out of the game to me at least..... but anyhow gg's to some killer comp out there bbh,inigma,rust in peace,popo187(and various people playing on the acct) sv4 ,omen,asf,greenplug,tru aj, randomdp and quite few others that just slip my mind at this moment. Yo, as much as I appreciate it from the folks who put my name there, I don't really belong on this list. Maxstah makes me look horrible every time I fight him, unless he's being nice and plays Rose vs. my Gief. Endy I've only played once, but he flat out raped me. Everyone else on ggpo is at least 2 steps below these two.
