Just sold my PS2 and bought SF Anniversary Collection for my Original Xbox. I'm still holding the thought on Xbox Live, decided I'd rather wait for opinions. Is it laggy at all, i'm running on DSL right now, it's really good connection wise, just not for downloading. Anyways, post one about how you feel.

It ranges from silky smooth to laggy as fuck. More often moderatly laggy than anything.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it can get real laggy. I get a decent connection now and then but for the most part it's pretty crappy.

I didn't sell the PS2 SF:AC
PS2 and Gamecube I never touched. Besides SF of course, had to sell them.

Its not a dumb question at all.
Depends what time you play for one, evenings will be bit laggyer than say late at night or afternoons.
But theyres always that tiny mist of lag, but its the best you will get at the seat of your home, it is playable, people do parry complete supers [david notti *cough* :)]
and you will get used to it.

what speed is your DSL? as long as its over 512k, shouldnt notice any difference than anyone on 100mb. We all hop the same amount of channels.

You should also maybe try monthly Live trial etc etc.
ALSO take note that CPS3 is currently being emulated and has the potential of faster less laggy gameplay. [check Tech Category]

Yeah, about CPS3 Emulator, I have it, works beautifully on my PC, laggy on my laptop. Find a recent post by me and I uploaded a sample of me loading it up on Kaillera. Also, I used to always play on Xbox live, for Halo and Rainbow Six 3. Anyways, thanks for your information on it, was very helpful.

PS. Yes, my DSL is at 768k.

Like I said before, it runs amazing on my PC, but choppy once in a while on my laptop. I put a lot of money into my computer though.. connection wise i run at 39ms, it's not too bad.

Live is sweet for the casual gamer. A good 90% of the population is trash though, like 7% of the 3s community that're good post here, and 3% who knows -_-;

If you do get live, don't get discouraged by the horse shit some of the players do, just play people who know how and you won't be pulling your hair out from time to time.
