@ first, I thought it was all regional. So I played people in the southeast and EC and I was getting perfect connections. I live in FL and where ever skisonic is from, we had a perfect connection. It was virtually lag free. But just now, I was playing someone in NE FL and the connection was horrible which doesn't make any sense since I was able to play someone palm beach FL and the connection was perfect. Thats easily a few hundred miles closer and the connection was worse?

You have to remember that the internet is basically a large web of nodes, how you connect to someone (regardless of distance) depends on the structure of this web. There might be 5-20 points your data has to pass through to reach a given person; any one of which could cause a potential slowdown or loss of data. You might get a 17 node connection to someone far away and have all of them be very healthy nodes or a 8 node connection to someone close with a slow/busy node between you screwing it all up.

Yeah, sorry Shoultzula about the connection. Still, that means I can blame everyone else for my connection problems and not take any responsibility...
At this point though, the entire time on GGPO I have had terrible connections. Using cable modem from cox cable in Pensacola. If that gives any useful information in figuring out what the deal is.
Could it be that part of the lag comes from having a shit pc on either of the ends? I mean, it does more than just emulates...it re emulates and re emulates...

re-emulates? I don't notice much of a performance drag on my laptop and its not too beefy.. 1gig of ram, 1.5ghz pentium M
I was referring to all the "take backs" people might have been talking about.
