And it seems he only put shows that are well-known and popular. Any TRUE list would put shit we forgot long ago (and for good reason).

I mean, take Pokemon for example. Not the greatest anime, granted. However the first season, in fact, everything up until Johto was decent because there was a cohesive plot (up until the championships after Orange Island). THEN came a period of LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG-ass ENDLESS, POINTLESS filler, which killed the show.
Even still, why would you put Pokemon instead of, say, BEYBLADE which has everything bad about Pokemon without ever having any of the upsides.

I mean, we all know Scooby-Doo is shit (SHIT, not THE shit), but what about ALLLLLLL the pure putrid Hanna-Barbera turds produced between 1960--mid 90's?
For every Scooby-Doo piece of shit, there's some JABBERJAW feces that's even worse.

Same thing with Goof Troop. as far as the original list, i personally wouldn't choose those exact cartoons, but outside of pokemon, i can't really disagree. all of those 80's shows aged horribly imo, i tried to watch voltron a couple of months ago and just couldn't make it through an entire episode. i respect it for its time but thats about it. he hit the nail on the head with scooby doo and captain planet though, definitely 2 of the worst cartoons ever.

When I was a kid, Saturday morning wasn't over until ABC Weekend Specials went off at 11:30...and even then sometimes there was a good movie on Creature Feature. You had to change channels...you stick with one, and the cartoons end. First NBC, then CBS, then ABC, and finally Creature Feature on WTOG. That kept me occupied up till 1:30 most Saturdays. Wish we weren't poor back then. I'd have tapes of every ABC Weekend Special and CBS Storybreak instead of the lame few eps that they decided to release on vhs. And yes, I'd be hooking people up for free.

A minor correction to the Captain Planet thing, they DID trade their rings in for the guantlets, like BITCHES. They doublecrossed earth, basically so they could have ridiculous guantlets but not do shit with them.

And even taking the guantlets at all was a "don't take candy from strangers" moment. But then again, we're talking about a show where the premise is that random teenagers get kidnapped and end up wearing daisy-dukes and are given jewlery so they can summon a gay ghost, so I guess it fucking fits.

You can't be fucking serious. While there are a precious few cartoons that I can watch with interest to the present day (Pinky and the Brain), the vast majority of them are tied in with nostalgia and my much narrower, simpler frame of mind as a kid.

There's no fucking way that a well-adjusted 20-something who's never seen "Thundercats" as a kid (no nostalgia factor) could watch the episodes on a regular basis with interest.

Ah, Rainbow Brite and The Star Stealer. Spectra was hot for a greedy, selfish biatch. I liked in the beginning when Stormy's horse blew steam out of his nostrils, and the steam turned to ice, shattered, then fell. That was tight. Also the 2 songs in the movie were good. Aside from Muppet Babies, any cartoon that makes an attempt at "kiddifying" well-known characters is instant fail.

-The Tom and Jerry Kids Show - Tom and Jerry without sensless cat-and-mouse violence is NOT Tom and Jerry!

-Goddamn Flintstone Kids - I can't believe I used to watch this crap when I was young! It even left a lingering stench behind, even years after the show's demise! ABC was STILL using that Goddamn "Yabba-Dabba Buckle Up!" PSA well until the '90s!

Mega Man - It seemed like a cartoon based on the successful videogame series was a flawless concept... until you actually watch the damn thing! Some of the episodes were the worst things I ever laid eyes on! 'Robosaur Park' started out okay, because it was a simple, yet feasible plot. Dr. Wily terrorizes the people using reprogrammed dinosaur robots from a theme park! Things go down the shitter once Wily also unveils a computer virus that turns robots into CAVEMEN!

That's right.

Sure, the series had it's moments, but it was so damn BAD, that those moments were few and far between!

I also couldn't stand the episode, 'Bro-Bots,' where Proto Man pretends to be reformed and shares some bonding moments with Mega Man before going back to being a bad guy. Sure, it had a good plot (one of the BEST plots, actually), but I'll be DAMNED if it wasn't the worst-looking episodes of them all!

Regarding lingering stenches, the Canadian/UK-aired Ocean dub of DBZ recycled the BGM from the Mega Man cartoon!

There was a one-shot Battletoads cartoon that was aired during Thanksgiving '93. I remember it well, because it was aired back-to-back with a one-shot Bubsy cartoon. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a pilot or some kind of promotional deal to boost sales for these games during the holidays, but the fact remains that they sucked ass! The 'Toads cartoon was a big disappointment for me, because making the 'Toads into a trio of loser teenagers with alien powers was more than a little fucked up!

I didn't really give a shit about Bubsy, though.

Season three of Captain N sucked shit! The animation, storyline, and character designs sunk to an all-time low, because the show was bunking with Super Mario World! Fortunately, these changes prevented the show from being included on the Captain N DVD set (season three was considered a totally different production)! They even had the nerve to take episodes from season one, abridge the fuck out of them, change the music, re-record the dialog, and pass them off as being brand new!

Don't get me started on what they did to Alucard in their little Castlevania 3 adaptation!

On a sidenote, the reason why I target season three specifically is because I loved the first two seasons so much (I still do). Captain N may seem lame to most of you, or it may be considered a "guilty pleasure" to a few of you, but I'm proud to say that I love Captain N almost as much as I did when I was a kid!

Mutant League - Not really a bad cartoon, but it's obscure as fuck (not even an episode clip is available online)! The only thing that bugged me was the animation was pretty bad and the fact that the mutants sometimes walked around in public wearing nothing but Speedos! I have a few episodes on tape, somewhere, but I also have no video capturing tools!
