Not really, if you want something of the highest quality, you pay for what you get. Paying over 100 for a crappy stick isn't worth it, but for a good custom, its completely worth it.

Games usually get released first in Hong Kong (and probably also Taiwan and Macau) before they get released in Japan. This is, of course, done to try and beat piracy (sadly, piracy still gets the upper hand at the end of the day).

And Play-asia is a Hong Kong-based company, so that should answer any further questions.

Japan will still have it sold on Thursday, but there probably will be retailers who will break the street date.

I planning on Kira w/ Rock and it would be nice to know what her good mid screen/ corner combos are as well as good ways to bait activate. I got a good deal out out match vids but I'm going to need more flat out stuff to practice seeing as I have no comp here at college. Things change when I get to back TX of course.

I'm just getting back from the arcade, drove Ken back to the station before heading home(Left the cade around 7:30pm).

I've just gotta say that it was one of the best days for any game ever. There were over 20 people playing on the machine, and even more people spectating trying to see whats good with Arcana. Lots of people stepping it up and even more people proving their skills. It was definitely a party today, everybody was a friend and we had too many goodies to choose from. The Arcana machine was definitely the highlight of the day, we had more people over on Arcana than MvC2/3s combined.

I'd just like to say good shit to everyone who attended, and that I had a blast and hope you all did as well. To all that didn't make it, theres always a next time, and we can try to make it even hyper next time around. We can only grow from the position we're in.

I got two miniDVs full and one with about 10 minutes of random footage, big ups to peskypurple for supplying the tools for getting them matches recorded. I tried to get as much as I could while I could(battery problems kept me from recording most of the time), but I'm still pretty satisfied at what I got today.

Just some random numbers:

Hyperhal got an 11 win streak
someAZNdude got a 17 win streak
Demon Hyo got a 21 win streak
Nastrodamus got a 27 win streak

EDIT: Slight problem, but I have no cord to connect the cam to the computer to retrieve the videos. I'll try to find one as soon as possible but that means I won't be able to get any direct videos up tonight

-the others I really don't feel like doing, particularly Lise/Lilica/Yoriko, who have like 123465309854785 different versions of shit and random frames all over the fucking place
-as it stands now I can do everyone else at a pace of one a night, starting from release day(so too bad for all you other guys, pick up Heart/Kira if you need DAT FRAMEDATA)

that might happen actually, i've noticed the postal service here in the uk has gotten real shit, i've had several records go missing, and a postal order vanish which was strange as i sent it by recorded delivery (supposedly the best way to send mail here in the uk) the worst thing is if something gets lost you cannot get your money back, maybe through the place your ordered with, BUT usually playasia send stuff by by courior or ups, so he should get his stuff ok

I would consider both difficult to use because you have to rely on stuff that doesn't involve your characters sprite. Liese has the doll, and Maori has sisters and tops and stuff. They sacrifice strong high priority normals for crazy tech stuff and the ability to do crazy stuff.

Also Liese isn't super technical in some respects, it's just keeping track of your puppet and putting it to good use takes getting used to. Plus her B&B isn't super difficult (landing the loop off random hits, maybe, but that's the case for a lot of characters).

I guess both also require the patience to keep a combo going for 15-40 seconds ;(

I'd been playing Accent Core almost exclusively since right before SBO quals, and even more so after that horrible performance on Japanese sticks (did I mention I hate Japanese sticks? I hate Japanese sticks). Kinda lost interest when Full first came out (since it was like right when we got Accent Core in Austin) and never got around to playing much. And now that the board is gone I realized that I miss this game, Arcana crack??

If the game has progressive scan, you would enable it by holding X and Triangle while the game is starting up. If nothing pops up, it doesn't have it.

Full was made for a reason: to fix a bunch of broken stuff. That'd be like allowing #R characters in a Slash tournament (I know Slash is old now, but it's a good example). Full characters should be the standard, of course~

after 623+C HC 4, 5B, JB, delay j.C land sj ab dj C (that's how i do it anyways) 214 B and then they wake up... run up 5C 623 +C into time super... blah blah

that's if you talking time combos... that's the one i can think of that i use...

other then that just use normal combos and shit.. and wake up tricks (charge C tricks and others)....i find 6D very useful for fiona cuse it's quick and does get around opponets who aren't paying attention.. then they run into combos are a 3C... or wake up Charge 3C or 6C and then ground cross up with 6D... man .. time is weird...

Does anyone feels that the push back and floating of the characters seems wierd?
seemed that i get push back futher than i should be and the height where characters floats seems to be higher than usual. I really hope this is all my imagination because I really do hope this will be arcade port perfect

yea you HC 4 because HC 6 just gives you the time dash... and really that shit dosen't work unless your near corners and shit... HC 5 just puts you in the air...you can get the extra damage on 5b and the start your air combo... just don't hold HC 4.. and it will work...

AH:DEMO Kamui wasn't that bad, the game didn't have enough time to evolve and show it. I mean look at what happened with Liese :looney:
Konoha and Kira were way worse offenders. Liese was shaping up to be as well.

The real problem with AH:DEMO was less about characters (though Maori definitely needed some kind of buff) was Gier. Seriously wtf was up with Gier. Lang-Gong and whatever lightning is called were both stupidly good and it hardly mattered because Gier was that good. Sure there were a lot of fancy boost and clash tricks to try to get around it but geez. Should have just taken Gier out :looney:

Sugarmilktea pretty much nailed it, but if you're having trouble doing the IAD version (which you should learn ASAP) then you can get away with doing 2A > 2B > 2C XX 623A 6D 5A > 5B JC [jA > B JC djA > B > 2C]. IAD version is better, though.
She has some silly corner combos like 2A > 2B > 2C XX 623A/B, 5A XX 623B 6D whatever. I forget exactly how it goes in Full, I just remember you could do a ton of dash punches in DEMO.

Depending on your Arcana, you can add supers or whatever special your Arcana gives you into combos... like adding Lang-Gong's 632146D into combos, or doing j2C into Gier 236[D] to have the threat of Gier biting them if they try anything after getting up or techrolling.
