I'd like some Heart combos if it's not too much to ask for.

2BC > 234A > 6D > 5AC > IAD(instant air dash)B > land 6B or 5C > IAD B 4B > land > j.A j.B j.4B > dj.B dj.4B dj.2C(knockdown)
There are more advanced versions of this combo but this is a simple one that I know of, try getting this combo down first before moving on to the harder stuff.

Time Kamui infinite for Tougeki has been BANNED. Here is the ruling (translated by fubar)

"If you use Time arcana, following up with Homing after Forward + C in specific situations to freeze the opponent is banned. (In the chance that you freeze them by accident, you must immediately hit the character and un-freeze them. If it is clear that you did it in purpose, you will be disqualified). Furthermore, using Kamui (with Time arcana) going into a Muon (qcf+AB ) after a QCFx2 D Time Arcana super, no particular bannings have been made."

Yeah, that happened a few times when it first came out. Have yet to see it happen with AHF yet. Been a long time since i've seen that glitch. Usually we just restarted the machine right away. Certain places more than others had that problem due to overheating, i believe.

It's not unusual for a Jap game to come with a dvd, it has been done with Fist already....why can't american games do this?

I got some good combo practice in the whole day, and i got down those kamui combos that require you to IAD early into a double jump, and her combos involving fireball super. Well, it's still the basic ones, but it's a start, at least I can do them, so I've stepped my combo game up. Thanks guys.

I just watched them, i dont really see what's wrong. That's how Maori is supposed to be played.

Plus the Konoha player fell into a lot of her dumb stuff. She was doing ok at first and then got too impatient.

At least there ARE Maori players now as opposed to when regular arcana heart was out and she would lose every match to a Kamui player for free. It used to be a 3 character game (Konoha, Kira, Kamui) and then the upgrade came and now every character pretty much is being used.

I was at CF for 5 hours until Arturo came through at 7pm. I had previous plans for the day, so unfortunately when he showed up, I had to leave. If I hadn't, well, it would have been a waste of the plans I had made earlier, that's just how it ended up. I really wish he had come earlier, but he arrived at the time that he did, and that's just it.

Fuck, my original goal was to meet with him much earlier in the day (I pm'ed him earlier in the week) so I could get some training sessions with him and Kamui strats and what not, but that obviously didn't happen because people ended up showing and I didn't get to practice much of anything.

I'm not saying don't post, i'm just saying you should reconsider your attitude toward the game. Its great that you have an interest in playing, but i think your reasons for playing should be thoroughly reconsidered.

Dont get me wrong, i generally have more fun when i win than when i lose, but losing is a part of getting better, and i think you need to further grasp that concept. Go to the tourney, hang out with people at least. If you don't want to play arcana, you don't have to, but if you do, then play. Nobody is asking you to avoid everyone, and im sure people will want you there just to hang out at least. Thats half the fun at tournies. But not coming at all (especially when you were planning on, and probably looking forward to) is just taking a step backwards too far.

It got hella boring at the arcade at a certain point to where I would play other games, but playing random comp in KOF 98, CvS2, 3s, and other assorted stuff. Tier List?
- Long story short, arcana is too hard to tier. Arcana's make a huge difference. However, it's widely agreed, that the 3 K's make the top three characters, Konoha, Kamui, Kira. Its also agreed that Fiona and Yoriko are near the bottom. Everyone else in between is just that - somewhere in between. Keep in mind the arcana selection also makes a huge difference to some characters. Having a top tier character but a bad arcana can lose to a lower tier character with a good arcana. I will say this though:
The game is balanced enough where you can play whatever character you want to.
Those wondering who the top is so they can play them and win, its not that easy. Those wondering if their character is gonna be bottom tier, don't worry, you'll be fine with whoever you pick as long as they match how you play. So stop asking about tiers and just play who you want to. You'de be better off watching videos to see how characters play instead of looking at a small list that says which characters are better than which. =P

i really hate the arcana teir list really.. like i can understand kira, konoha, and kamui being super good... but damn maori is good, heart is good , pretty much every charcter has some bs up their arsenal...

The tiers have been established for quite a while already. The last thing to come out was the Time Glitch with Kamui, so it adds more BS to her arsenal. The Arcana's themselves are what really dictate the game balance. Kamui/Gier is just that good(the Time Glitch will change this).

But yeah, everyone is good, you just have to know how to play the game properly.

Well, there are character tiers and Arcana/character tiers. Like, Kamui and Gier is just ridiculous on it's own. Lightning Lilica is good because of her ability to rushdown and she can clash when she dashes in with the appropriate timing.

It's just a hard game to tier because the Arcanas determine the outcome, but if you put the characters in a match alone, Kamui/Konoha/Kira win easily.

I'm sure Heart can share more light on this.

Same is true for Melty. A couple stand out, and a couple fall short.

A lot of games are like this, where any character has stuff thats good and it comes down to the players.

And having Arcana's makes a big diff too. Moriomoto Kamui is not as good as Gier Kamui. And some arcana's kinda "counter" other arcana's in a way, or some characters more than others, so while Time is generally really bad for characters, some characters rage with it, and then its not even about the character.

Maybe it's just because I play Yoriko, but when I was messing aorund with Kamui I noticed her pokes are reeeeally fast. Like, I can see why people would tier her normals above yoriko's. Yoriko has the range, but she damn sure doesn't have the speed kamui has.

I know how to reset the machine. The game doesn't have an event mode, I believe. So, I got that covered. Also, I did mention that my digicam is pretty small. As long as no one opens their Goddamn pieholes, I should be able to record plenty. Woof is my second cameraman because he's short.

torwards the back/bottom dont unplug just flick the switch.

btw there is a event mode in arcana we played on it at pz
but no you wont be able to play on event mode at cf, everything has to be done in secret even the footage.

not much to report from yesterday it was kinda unhype.
went to mikado, it was empty
went to more, random scrubs playing at 50yen, then they stopped playing me after a few wins.
so i went to akibahara to get my fix, went to some random arcade with like 4 arcana cabs/5 melty cabs.
got a few winstreaks but noone was too beast there. everyone is about my level more or less so i wasnt too satisfied, nothign sbo calibur yet.
tho i got some good practice vs time and figured out a lot of anti time strats.
played against a good liese player but nothing too beast, a yoriko, meifang and time kamui. no he didnt do the infinite on me he never landed it. im not used to time mixups yet tho so i would get opened up a lot, like 2abc into 6hc, they get on the other side of u for mixup. have to adapt to that.

well im going to a 3on3 tourney at gamenewton in oyama today so wish me luck

I finally learned Lilica's loop even though it's crazy hard to do at times. But I've also figured out some other BnB combo's that work for me, so I'm good to go for now. Just some more touch ups within the next month and I'll be set.

After playing in Japan for two days against some of the best in the world in arcana...im not really ready to write a log yet, but i dont wanna hear any more complaining about bullshit in this game. if you lost you lost cause the guy is better than you. period. im not saying that tiers dont matter but its to the point where if you play smart, you can win. and yes, people can get out of gier setups and the like, and all sorts of cheap stuff. i played basically vs the best in the world with literally every character already.

picture this, one arcade, 7-8 arcana machines, 96 entrants (yes you read that right, 96, and me being the only foreigner there, boo to fubar)

i dont even wanna write anything up now, i:d rather just post up videos. but wait, i couldnt get anyone to lend me a camcorder for japan so yall are just missing out. seriously the vidoes and stuff that you see online are just oldddd compared to what they are doing now. i got lieselotte looped to hell, saw some crazy time setups, got raped by ambiguous crossup setups, fought a poison maori and got looped to death....i could go on and on and on. I:m convinced that this game is balanced but at the same time it:s not. What i mean is, like, ive seen a fiona user rape the shit out of kamui (and yes, EVERYONE has anti-kamui tactics here, you know that gier bullshit that chibi was crying about a few pages back? guess what, they know how to get out of that shit, with EVERY fucking character. 90% of my setups dont work period, because ppl actually step it up instead of complaining.

btw picking a character just because they are top tier ISNT going to fucking help you. If anything youll just get raped even harder. I can:t pick heart here, my shit would get fucked up in a minute. The only characters i can even play now is kamui and even then i lose 7x more than i win to put it into perspective. im not exactly garbage but not near th etop level players by a long shot. like i can get random wins here and there but for the most part i get smashed. to put it into perspective, the highest winning streak i got yesterday was like 2-3 wins, tops. EVERYONS is a fucking threat. Hell, I lost to a Yoriko and a Saki player who are TWO characters that I don:t respect, and even they knew how to get out of the same setups im hitting yall with....so yeah...theres no reason to get mad back at home, we would all get smashed, trust me....i sure got my head smashed in, i spent like 50 bucks yesterday playing and going around the city caue i kept running that shit back....god i wish i had a camera, im sick of typing.

wish me luck but at this point, its safe to say that im fighting not to lose first round basically.
its not that im scared of them either, its just that everyone is so strong here. they arent unbeatable but they make way less mistakes and have way better ecxcution and have a better understanding of the gam ein general. lol.

btw the team that won the tourney yesterday was a konoha player that ocved the 3 lilica team in the gf:s of the tourney. i dont know who was who or who was playing what, since there was so much stuff going on in that arcade that i couldnt keep track of anything. The SBO qualifier who I played at More and lost 20-5 or some shit like that (lets call him Rob 2.0) lost first round in team tourney...i HAD 2 sbo qualifiers on my team, yet we couldnt get past 2nd round and got ocved by a saki even tho i had him first round...but yeah.
