oh fight science..ya i've seen it..alot of its myth bullshit, But a good portion is true.

the whole 8 points on the body is true...the death punch does exist but its because near the heart is a nerve cluster...theirs about 8 of them. they shut certain systems in your body down...theirs on in your bicep that makes your arm numb or shut down for a bit..one in the leg..think charlie horses, one in the chin..hence why boxers knock people out and then theirs also one near the heart.

But just to show you a bit why its bullshit..pretty much everyone on their was not a pure stylist of one style

ninjitsu guy is a stuntman and has gymnastics and acrobatics training soo you cant really say for sure if his balance is from ninjitsu or the fact he's been flipping since he was like 10.

also the tkd guy is not a pure tkd stylists...theirs no bo forms in tkd...except bullshit ones the schools make up.

so some of its real, another part is bull. i still wanted to see them study capoeira, they didnt at all they just used a capoerist as an example for balance as he did a hollowback.

yeah I'm starting to notice some things that aren't necessarily right, and sometimes doesn't it depend on the person, not the style?

i liked the reaction time test(being a videogame player). anticipation was one of the things they couldn t of tested but should of mentioned more often IMO, but since it was a show based on facts, can t complain.
they did show the light beaming at the guy's eyes and said "and a decision is made" so i guess it was mentioned without the actual word being used.

and wtf, they mentioned the one inch punch but never showed it, i always wondered if it was momentum(watery type) or pure force(bat type), it would of been dope if they made a skeleton part for it.

another ridiculous thing about this show was how no one mentioned how the force of a blow is directly proportional with the weight/mass of an individual. so even though the dinky little wushu guy put up soft, squishy numbers in the impact tests, he was a dinky little guy so of course his numbers will be below the 160-190+ lbs guys also performing on the show. if they measured DLH's punches on there, it probably wouldve been around the karate guy's numbers or something. there was some other gay shit in there too, like the archery crap. what a quagmire of traditional nonsense that no longer has any utility. but i guess it was good in the sense that it was for ppl w/o knowledge of different styles of martial arts.

i wrote a rant about this show a while ago and i hit on some more good points, but i don't remember em all, lol.

Funny thing is everybody here should ave seen it by now. Every time it aired, somebody usually makes a thread like a week in advance.
