MKII on PSN and good games thread.

Not that I actually still play on a regular basis, I'm just trying to bum some rep like a liquor fiending German Shepherd.

Anyways, I still run across some people who really make me humble. I swear, out of all the fighting games I've played, I've never played people who actually made me think they were psychic (either that, or they could read my skill level like a Dr. Seuss book).

I've yet to get my ass handed to me by quite a few here and I still have the lost connection problem in the Kombat Tomb from time to time (I believe it's a conflicting ping issue between the players).

Even GGPO can lag when the other person has 200+ ms.

yea i do. pretty average competitive Lei/Nina player. i been playing and gettin better at the arcade though its gonna take some time getting use to online play with the lag and all

Definitely, I think we should jus make a PSN thread all together. Has Cable and DBOstick played yet. Wish I could be in spectator mode on that one, lol. Haven't played anyone else besides DBOstick in MK2 but I'll be on tomorrow around 3:30 pm EST.

I'm getting a 50 foot ethernet cable so I can have a wired connection since I think most of my online problems are because of the wireless router I use.

I've had problems with connecting with a few other people other than Cable, as well.

I'm on a wired connection and I still have issues connecting with people. I don't think that's the problem man. At least, not for me. I know I have good internet too because my games are smooth. BTW, has anyone ran in to Dragula96 on MKII? I beat him 14 times in a row last night. He couldn't beat me with anyone against my Liu Kang. His main is Liu Kang, but he had to start trying out other people against me. We had some weird glitches happen also. I went up and did a close high punch and his scorpion whip went through me, but didn't hit. HAHA. This guy was actually a very above average player too.

I got my ethernet cable yesterday and I'm finally able to play MKII online without having continual lost connections. I bought it specifically for playing DR online, but I really needed it for MKII.

I did have a lost connection with one person, but I think it's because of the other player's bad connection and ping (maybe that was the case when I was using wireless?). Seems like my games run smoother on a wired connection, as expected.

yeah man i dont use it much for any fighting games. i got a ps2 pad modded with the ps1 original dpad, xbox analogs, and removed rumble. im tryin to eventually get that virtua stick I heard was good.

I'll played someone today (sorry, his username slips my mind- something Mann) that totally played like a pro. He had a really good Kang and Mileena (picked Kang for Jax and Kang for Lao).

By the way, I don't even "run" this game, the only game that I think I run is A3 on a major caffeine and weed high (and when I'm not playing someone better than me :)

Yeah, it happens to a lot of people- that's why I primarily make my own rooms. Lately for me, when I'm in someone else's game room, the host will just leave the room after getting beat, which is the best policy.

I just hate it when I wait behind three or four players and when it's finally my turn, they kick me before I can even play. :rofl:

But, I only kick people after a game only if they are lagging really badly, win or lose. Good thing 99% of the people that join my room have smooth connections.

yea man it looks a little better. sprites look just a bit better and its not pixelated or anything. theres also a boarder that mk2 uses to keep it in 4:3 ratio.

but yo does anyone still play this? this and t5dr have been the most played games on my ps3. im actually decent at this game now hah. do you guys still play?

Yeah, that artificial "intelligence" needs to be put to sleep; the 2D MK games were made for at least semi non-clairvoyant people...

I'm looking forward to playing UMK online on the DS, so maybe I'll see some of you guys on the Computer/Handheld matchmaking forum.

I still play MKII on a semi regular basis, but I'll be more than happy to play you sometime.
