Another "Hi, I'm a newbie" thread

Hello everyone. My name is DeathReaper47. Its a combination of the names "Death/Grim Reaper" from Castlevania, and Agent 47 from Hitman; two of my personal favorite video games. I'm new here, but I'm not new to forums in general. Little background, and I promise it won't turn into a Myspace blog of introductions :wonder:

It started a few months ago. My friend and I would always play games together, ever since we were elementary kids. Recently, he started to serioulsy get into fighters, particurly Street Fighter III: 3S. I was cautious, because I wasn't sure I would enjoy a 1vs1 game(I love the "You-against-the-world" kind of games), but I'd be lying if I said it sucked. It was AMAZING. The variety of characters, the fluid Disney-like sprites, hell it even had some humorous hip-hop tracks! I was in LOVE with Street Fighter!

I looked on the internet to find out any place I could about my new gaming love, and all sources led me to here: SRK.

Again, I was cautious. I had seen and heard about the bad rep of "I'm a noobie!" threads; how flames would cast upon the new guy like a test to enter a frat party. Well, here I am throwing myself in to the street; hoping the cars will slow down and read the stop sign.

So...thats it! I'm really happy to be here, and I hope you guys accept me into your community.

That was originally planned, but Disney would only allow it if they were allowed to remake the SNK characters with their "fluid" sprites, but SNK felt a break from series tradition would alienate some fans.
