I just read this writeup on SG that had lots of links to some pretty interesting games. The article is only mildly funny, but interesting highlights include 'Quest for Saddam/Quest for Bush', and 'Peacemaker- the game', but mostly ends up focusing on Kuma War, a game based on popular news headlines of the day.

Kind of reminds me of the game 'Freedom Fighters' for last gen systems. I played that most of the way through, but when I was done, I kinda thought-
"damn, this must be kinda offensive to russian people"...which in turn reminded me of the 'world in flames' controversy.

Anyway, it was a noteworthy article and I didn't see a military games thread... so here ya go.
