i must have been asleep when srk had the jersey and hoodie back in the day, but Kaze's thread about the srk jersey and the comments in it got me thinking... i wonder how many of us now, would buy a shirt or jeresy or hoodie or something that was actual SRK.com merchandise.

i heard it was an EvO publicity thing or something.... but now, with as many people are on here for whatever reason, i think just basic apparel would be kool! hoodie-kinda hot in Bako, but id rock it. Jersey-a hockey one, yes. baseball, no. football, yes. basketball, yes. and definately a regular t-shirt, with the SRK logo. hell, id even wear a shirt that has srk.com and says Mr. Wizard pwns me.

They are hella played out, but maybe SRK lanyards? I know that I've seen EVO ones, but thin ones with "SRK - Shoryuken.com" and maybe "GGPO.net" on them that can hold a USB drive or a work badge would be tight.

I'd also rock a LiveStrong-type bracelet that says whatever catch phrase is in at the time "no homo", "in before lock", etc.

I've actually been talking with people about making a SRK shop. I've presented the idea to a couple of the cats here in General Discussion, and they seemed to like it. It was more along the line of an underground identity. I wouldn't be able to and didn't plan on using "Shoryuken.com" anywhere on the products.(unless I was given explicit permission to do so. :bgrin:) And I obviously wouldn't have been able to to use any street fighter/fighting game characters/fighting game company logos on the products either. My shop was more geared towards general discussion. It would feature stuff that most likely only SRK GD'ers would know about, or understand. So if you actually came across a person wearing one of these shirts in public, odds are they read SRK GD at least. I figured the producst would be great for your avid SRK poster, and the ghost member who just browses but never posts. Like I said, it would be more underground. Everybody in the world just about knows the image of Ken and Ryu. But very few know what "The Stairs" is about. lol I even wanted to have some shirts with the classic "Prep-time Narwhal" image on it. (I knew saving that image would come in handy one day)

I've been finalizing some things, and am very serious about throwing this bad boy together. Most likely, cafepress will be my front. Only thing that sucks though, is they are somewhat limited on the type and quality of apparel. I wouldn't mind a hoodie, which they don't have. (Not the type of hoodie I'm talking about anyway)

I know it's not the higher quality Jersey type set up some are looking for, but it will be clothes for SRK'ers nonetheless.

Another suggestion would be the type of shirt. I hate how majority of companies/brands use the same old hanes or fruit of the loom shirts that feel heavy. American Apparel, for one, I love the fabric and how it's not as heavy as the other shirts.

I'd rock a hoodie/track jacket, just so long as we're able to customize them(I want some SNK on my clothes :rofl:). The wristbands don't sound too bad either, I wouldn't mind one that said "If there are no pics, SRK doesn't care," or some other witty sentence.

Lanyards and polo shirts are a must though. I could wear them to my job at Gamestop, so I'd look good at work AND promote SRK. It's that win/win right there.
