Now we have 10 players. I asked Kross, and he might join too. I think we should have the flow chat of players first. Then the paired up players can set up a time in which it works for both. Then one of the players should record the entire game. Then we'll just post it somewhere (as a proof and fun).

I'm assuming it's no infinite loops, and no AC crap. Are you allowing Zantetsu? And in what capacity?

Kyokuji still beats everyone tho. He says he's rusty, but he's not compared to the rest. I think he plays lb2 for a living (earning pride instead of money, Maslow's hierarchy of needs).

Short answer, no. Guys like Nibor and Big 5 in A3 were exceptions to the rule.

Brackets look alright. Maybe not put Dracula with Stafos so early, since they play each other all the time anyway I think. Are you allowing character switching between matches or no?

Well, he probably just meant Kouryu, since O. Kaede is like one of the weakest characters in the game (dude does shit for damage), and Hagare is just the LB version of Mokujin.

Regarding Bobo, he's so hot and cold I can't tell if he's playing seriously 90% of the time. I'd like to see him play in a tournament so he'd be focused, and not just messing around.

I played Hitokiri a few weeks ago. The rust was evident. Hope he comes back. He and I were pretty evenly matched.... probably leaning a bit in his favor.

About European players, do you think the new Kaillera P2P client could make it possible to play quality trans-Atlantic games? When it's ready for prime time of course....

Also, I want to introduce a newcomer to lb2. He's name is Ghab, and he's really enthusiastic about the game. I was sorta training him on Friday. Whenever you see him on any of the servers, play him because he needs a lot practice.
Nagi is also new to lb2, and play him when you get a chance.

The tournament wasn't really THAT bad. However, if we do it again we'll probably need to specify a time limit for each round. Actually, I'm surprised it went as well as it did.

I think that we should try and organize another tournament. I think the growing maturity of the P2P client should improve the quality of play between East and West coast players. Also, some of the better players I've met have reappeared recently so we might field a better draw.

If any of you guys haven't used the 0746's P2P client yet you really need to try it. You'll feel the difference as soon as you hit the character select screen. The P2P client includes classic kaillera client functionality so it'll allow you to play on public servers when you can't find a P2P game. I've been using it for a few months, and it's at least as stable as my previous kaillera client on public servers. I can't think of a good reason NOT to use the P2P client. At least not until/unless something better comes around, and I'm not expecting that to happen anytime soon.
