Hi,

Anyone ever attempt to mod this stick? I've searched the net for modding examples of this stick but I wasn't able to find any but maybe someone in here has modded this stick. I opened it and took a look inside:

The button holes appear to be a little smaller to fit sanwa buttons so it's similar to the agetec mod, the joystick on the other hand is quite different, the joystick appears to be screwed to the metal plate onto the plastic base but it has some paper cover on top so you can't see the bolts nor feel them, any help or tips on how to remove the joystick would be much appreciated.

I had 2 of them (destroyed one for the template of my current mod project and sold the other). Yes, you have to destroy the overlay to gain access to the screws.

I never liked how low the stick was located in comparison to the buttons so it's destruction led to the creation of this (work in progress)....

I feel that this stick's case is the ideal platform for a custom stick because, the case is tall enough to fit a properly mounted Sanwa without being as big and bulky as a RAP.

LMK f you ever wanna sell it.

Plenty of people have modded this including myself and urth and others. Here's what I did with a few of them:

For urth:

I see, that was my fear since I wanted to keep the artwork (don't have any print shop in my area to print decent quality artwork), thanks for the help that makes it all much clear.

I agree the case is just too awesome to not be used.

Yeah I may be interested in selling this stick considering the amount of work involved in modding.

Those are so awesome! The first one in particular is very original, love the design. I see that we can definitely do a lot with these :)

Paik, your sticks look awesome and very classy, unlike many in the "The, I love my custom stick gallery". What kiind of paint and plastic filler did you use?
I finally completed my case, but had many problems with the Bondo shrinking and leaving outlines where buttons use to be.

Remember me, aguazul.

I use Bondo. Make sure to use several thin layers instead of one thick layer. Also, I use a filler primer that also fills tiny imperfections. Do multiple light coats of these as well, not just one thick coat. Any kind of paint is good honestly as long as you sand and do multiple light coats.

These are the nicest looking modded stick in my opinion, but nothing beats a custom made one. : )
