Gradius 6 was just put on hold because they are working on getting the new Winning Eleven, MGS4, SH5, and other big games out first before that.

Besides you can go play Super Stardust HD on PSN if you want a shmup so bad on PS3, apparently that game is really good.

PS3 isn't even a year old.. anyone remember a year into PS2's lifetime, when there was Gradius 3+4 and shit else on the system. Fast-forward to 2007, PS2 is the shmup king of last gen. History may or may not repeat itself. But it's definitely too early to beg for variety on PS3.
