View Full Version : Crazy Midwest storm
this storm is crazy shit.
i was stranded at the train station for more than a hour because the traffic in my neighborhood got immobilized by the rain. i didn't even realize how bad the rain became until i got off the train at the suburbs.
i kind of got bored/retarded at one point, and thought about PARRYING DAT LIGHTNING AND RAIN through the knee-high waters rambo-style, but then realized i would probably die. so i decided to wait for the rain to calm down and the buses to arrive.
i finally got home, but the roads look like rivers, there are fallen trees everywhere and some of the houses on my block got totally fucked up. there are bunch of police cars and fire trucks zooming around too.
now i hear warnings on the radio telling people to don't leave work if you're in downtown chicago. good thing i left early while the storm was calm, because otherwise i would've been stuck at my office for the night...
i hope rest of y'all in the midwest are staying safe.

in one sence isnt it cool when stuff like that happens? Getting stuck at work.. Who knows perhaps there was someone else like a hot girl at work and now she is all scared to be stuck there, and she leans on your shoulder, and says before she dies she must have sex with you and then explosions and stuff of that nature happens yea..... something like that.

around 3pm we had to evacuate the floor of the building i work in. and its still coming down in buckets. its hard to believe it was warm around noon today.
I'm in WI and the weather's not so great here either. Storms daily for the past week or so. With how it is now, I wouldn't be suprised if we saw a tornado.
Parrying lightning is hard, they're pretty damn fast and unpredictable. Rain's just too hard, there's too much of it. It's constantly beasting :(

I work downtown and it was fucking dark as hell. I took the metra home to find out that a neighboring town about 15 miles north of me is out of power. For anyone in Illinois the town is Wheaton. The WHOLE DAMN TOWN. It took me 2hrs to go 10 miles because every street light was not working. Ridiculous man. The sky is still lighting up crazy as I type this.

I was at work when some of it came through. The people who carry out the groceries were covering up with any jackets they could find and one chick had a visible line where her pants were soaked/dry where the jacket came down. I was pretending to laugh at it but really just using it as an excuse to check our her ass.

Southeastern WI got shitted on the past two days. 3 people at a Madison bus stop got electrocuted due to weather related craziness (lightning struck a utility pole, causing livewires to fall into the puddle that 2 bus passengers were standing in; a person tried to aid the two victims, only to get electrocuted himself).
Mother nature is pissed... at the Midwest.

around 3pm we had to evacuate the floor of the building i work in. and its still coming down in buckets. its hard to believe it was warm around noon today. It was great here as well. Very warm, very humid. I was on MSU campus buying books, a 15 minute walk to my car. Great sunny weather the whole time. Not long after I got home, the weather turned into a shit festival.
It didn't last long, but it was like buckets of water were being flung at the windows.
