Today was my first day back. My school always comes back on a fucking Thursday, it makes no sense. I spent most of the day ogling titties. I had an 8am math class and I swear this one chick came to that class in nothing but some boy shirts and a bra basically. My math professor is fucking gorgeous, ass is just monstrous. Im gonna try and sneak a pic before the semester is over. Shes only a 25 year old grad student, so shes cool as shit.

As part of my degree, we have to take Art History 1-3 plus two 3000 level Art History classes. I just started my first 3K level and GODDAMN! I had this same professor before a few years back and I barely scraped by in the class it was so boring. This time around.........I just don't know.


And it's so terrible, this class is about the civilizations that existed in Mexico, our exams will be in class essays. To make matters worse, the professor is timing the essays as well as checking them for correct grammar, spelling of ancient civilization names AND their paragraph structure.:looney: I swear if you crammed a group of navy seals into a room and made them take a test, it wouldn't be this hard.

Just the other day, I was sitting in the back of the auditorium drooling while staring at the slides and I looked at some notes a girl was taking in front of me and she wrote in huge letters "THIS IS SO FUCKING BORING". She drew flowers and other designs around it and those were her "notes" for the day.:lol: That sadly will be the highlight of the entire semester in that shit pit class.

I'm rather...picky with my books, though. I can't recall having bought anything used in college since it's been my own money for the most part. That and I could maybe order through my job with employee discount like I did with my German textbook earlier this week.

The problem is that it might be a "unversity only" edition like my last two math textbooks for last semester was, one of which I had to rebuy when I lost half of my fucking materials like an idiot. As long as it's not that, I think that I could get it cheaper than most used books if I can get it through my job.

...I just wonder if I'll have enough money since I've barely been to my second job all this month--stupid adjustments--and I just saw that my other seminar has like 20 readings, many of which I can't tell if they're just short stories that we'll get copies of or full books, like Starship Troopers (which we have to read in October, apparently).

3. Professors; When lab is canceled, have the goddamn decency to send a fucking email. I woke up at 6am for no fucking reason today.

4. If you live walking distance from campus buy and bike and not a parking pass you lazy fuck. I gotta wait for notification now because all the parking passes are gone. Thing is, hundreds of assholes haven't picked them up so later today they will be up for grabs.

5. If you buy a parking pass, pick the damn thing up. And how the fuck do people loose these things. They go on the rear view mirror.

6. Standing outside of a convienant store and asking random folks to buy you a beer on the wrong side of campus will either A. get you robbed, B. Get you shot, C. both. Do what I did and get a fake ID the first week of class. Its a good way to make extra cash.

Speaking of the XvSF cabinet, both days in the break room (after we eat in the cafeteria) scrubs were crowding over it (probably breaking the sticks in the process). I guess I'm gonna have to teach them scrubs what's up tomorrow!!!! :devil:

As for my first day, as per usual, getting there was annoying since I had to take now crowded buses. I wish I could just walk there, but it would probably take me like an hour and a half (which wouldn't be much of a problem, actually, if my classes were later than 9:00 A.M.).

My first class was German 1 at 8:00 A.M. in, of all rooms, 101 (Wheeler). I think I'm still going to like the class, but I currently suck at pronouncing half of the alphabet, probably because I still have my head wrapped around Japanese on top of (thinking I possess) lackluster rhetoric skills. The numbers are oddly easy though....

I have a two hour gap because none of my classes are back to back this semester. I spent that at the library, half-napping and half-looking at Masters of Deception and books on learning Vietnamese for a tutor session with an associate (outside of school) on Thursdays this semester.

After that was my history seminars on Sci-Fi and its reflection of (American) society at the time. I had the same professor I had last Fall in another history class that I quite liked and I'm glad for that. Since today was the intro, we only needed about 30 of the 110 minutes.

I kind of sucks that we're off for Labor Day, especially since the lightest load for reading is for when we return--this seminar is unfortunately only once a week--on Sept. 10th; we only have to read one entire book and don't have research to prepare like we will for all the other weekly readings.

(I also still have to work on Labor Day.)

Other than the bus rides and discovering that I have German on Friday as well (which really isn't "bad" given that it means that we have the same amount of time as all other language courses) being bad, today went well enough.

I must admit I'm quite surprised.

I know there's a few math majors in this forum so should someone start a "Math help thread" or "Math/Physics/Chemistry help thread" (I'm a physics/math double major and chemistry minor, recently graduated), or would that be instant fail?

Well, I have to say today was....interesting. Right off the bat I made note of how easy it would....will....be to make fake parking permits. Otherwise it's $2. The girl in front of me couldn't get her dollar to go in the "permit machine" for the life of her. She would try 4 times....then look back at me with a :confused: expression and repeat. After about a whole minute I just swapped money with her. When she kept looking back at me I wanted to be like "yeah bitch you takin' really long".

The first class, which I'm on the waitlist for and probably won't get in, is English. Some decent lookin' broads are the first thing I notice. The second thing I notice is that the instructor doesn't know how to spell very well considering it is....well....English class. But then it hits me....the guy looks EXACTLY like Bob Barker. Now, the class was packed and I just happen to be right in the middle of everyone. It took every bit of strength I had not to start laughing uncontrollably. You know how when you hold in a strong laugh to the point where it feels like it is ripping up your insides? Yeah. For one hour I had to go through that.

After that class, I had a 4 hour break until the next class(which was HORRIBLE and I am fixing that right now). I pretty much just walked around the computer lab, cafe, and outdoor areas introducing myself to various females. Which is incredible, I wasn't like this in high school. It's so easy because most of them are just sitting there obviously waiting for something to do or someone to talk to.

During this time I also notice that that school needs a fucking tram or teleportation system. There's no need for the gym when you're walking up and down this motherfucker(literally). Stairs....hill.....dip down....hill up....stairs...tunnel. Felt like I was playing Sonic 2 or some shit.

The next class was "Public Speaking". The teacher is this chubby white lady who be cute if she lost a bit of weight. Couldn't be more than 26. Again, plenty of hot females in this class, and one in particular I will be keeping my eye on and talking to a lot if I get the chance.

So far, so good. Mainly average looking Asian and White females with the occasional "Yeah I'd smash no question" . Got completely different classes tomorrow. My only problem is I need to get the scheduling fixed. Too many time gaps inbetween. Going home isn't a option since I live about 35 minutes away.

My first day sucked. I was in the train longer than in class. Besides that we had to listen for two hours to a woman talking about the Arabic script. They're giving us 5 days of 2 hours to familiarise us with the Arabic script.

Such amount of time is ridiculous for ANY kind of script except for Chinese, and to make matters worse, I can already read Arabic. I actually have no clue why I'm going, but I'm going anyway.

Week after that 3 days to learn Devanagari script(It's what they write Sanskrit/Hindi etc. with). And then the week after that the real shit starts.

Sanskrit, Hittite 2, Historical Grammar of Greek, Homeric Greek, Classical Armenian and Modern Standard Arabic for beginners. I love this, except for the Homeric Greek part. Fuck homer, I do this shit for the languages, not for reading crappy ass poetic literature bullshit. Oh well.

My first day of class this semester was surprisingly short. I had two classes. The first was supposed to last for fifty minutes and the second was supposed to last for an hour and fifteen minutes. Both of them were actually about thirty minutes.

Another friend called me earlier. He told me he kicked a freshman down the stairs. I know that shit is harsh but he has a semi-ok reason behind it. Apparently, the kid stepped on/dirtied his new white shoes AND starts talking shit. While the kid is starting to go down the stairs, he yells out "THIS IS SPARTAAAA!!!!!!!!!" causing the kid to turn around then BOOM..... he kicks the kid in the chest and sends him flying down the stairs :rofl:. My friend just fuckin ran after that (even if it was on the floor with the least activity).

BOULDER – 9NEWS has learned that a man who was diagnosed as a schizophrenic is accused of attacking a University of Colorado freshman on Monday. It was the victim's first day of college.

At roughly 9:45 a.m. a man cut a CU-Boulder freshman in the throat at the University Memorial Center (UMC) located near Broadway and Euclid Avenue, according to CU Campus Police.

9Wants To Know has identified the suspect as 39-year-old Kenton Astin. Police had originally thought the suspect was in his 50s - they have yet to confirm his identity.

"It looked like he almost just ran past the student," said Josh Williams, a witness. "Then the student just started running away. And, he (the suspect) was looking back and other people were yelling. And then I heard the security guard, and then he (the suspect) just stopped – he just stopped at the top of the stairs."

Police say the suspect ran away after the attack, shouting that he had bomb making materials in his backpack and also yelling about the end of the world. A Boulder County Sheriff deputy and a Boulder Police officer ran toward him, as the suspect began stabbing himself.

Police used a Taser to subdue the suspect. They say he had suffered multiple self-inflicted wounds and he was taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities say the victim, who is a freshman from Illinois, was transported to the hospital and appeared to be stable. They say the cut appears to be superficial and non-life threatening.

CU officials say they have been in communication with the family of the victim.

9NEWS has learned the victim was freshman Michael George Knorps, who is majoring in finance.

Knorps' uncle says the victim's father flew from Illinois to Colorado on Monday after learning of the attack. Knorps' father joined his son at the hospital while the CU student recovered from surgery, according to Knorps' uncle.

Knorps' uncle says his nephew is expected to stay in the hospital overnight.

9NEWS has also learned Astin worked at CU recently as a cashier at the Alferd Packer Grill in the UMC. He got the job through a referral from a mental health program in Boulder which the university had worked with for 17 years. Astin worked there until April 10, 2007.

Peterson says Monday's attack occurred outside of the building where Astin worked.

CU-Boulder Chancellor G.P. "Bud" Peterson announced on Monday that CU will now start doing criminal background checks on all employees - a practice they previously did not do. Peterson says had they known Astin's background, he would not have been hired.

According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Astin has a lengthy criminal history, including several acquittals by reason of insanity.

Authorities say Astin was acquitted of attempted murder by reason of insanity in 2001. In that incident, Astin was accused of pulling a knife out of a bag and trying to stab a 21-year-old man with a knife in a Salvation Army store in Longmont on March 31, 2001.

The man was able to block Astin's attempts to stab him in the chest and turn the knife back on Astin, stabbing him in the face. During the attack, Astin pulled a bible from his bag and yelled that God sent him.

After police arrested him, Astin told police he wanted to poke the man's eyes out and choke him to death. When police asked him his name, Astin called himself Dylan Klebold, one of the Columbine High School gunmen. He told police that his message was not heard at Columbine.

The Department of Human Services says Astin was released from a state mental hospital in Pueblo in October 2005. He was put into a community placement program at his current Boulder address.

Authorities say Astin, who is schizophrenic, was placed on conditional release, meaning he was under a lesser level of state supervision but was still being monitored.

9Wants To Know has learned Astin had previously been known as Sin Metri, changing his name to Astin in July of 1999. He listed "to escape association with alcoholic father" as the reason for the change.

During the attack on the CU campus, Williams says it was not immediately clear what had happened.

"It looked like he just ran by him (the student) with his knife," Williams said while making a swiping motion with his arm. "It looked like a steak knife."

As police and a bomb squad worked to secure and search the suspect's Jeep Cherokee, 9NEWS confirmed the SUV was registered to Astin.

Here are some things you fuckers who annoy the hell out of me need to stop doing in class.

1) Stop sifting through your pencil case for your pen. You take 30 seconds to look for your dumb ass pink gel pen with the silver glitter and in the process annoy everyone around you. If you like your glitter pen or whatever other stupid novelty pen then keep it on you at all times.

2) Just because you think you are funny or maybe you were funny in high school around some of your reject comrades doesn't mean you will be liked in college/university. Shut the fuck up and pay attention.

3) Just because you're a fucking retard who's failing all his classes or maybe your mommy and daddy paid for you to go to school doesn't give you a free pass to fuck shit up for other students who are also paying. Act like a fucking adult in class and listen to the lectures and teachings. Act like a fool in between classes where only you can your pube tick comrades can bask in your lameness together.

4) If you don't come to class prepared, don't ask me for notes and shit like that. You know I go to every class (because I paid for school) so if your scrubby ass decided to wank it in the morning rather than attend class then I hope I was worth it, cause you are indeed fucked.

5) Just because you're a pretty girl doesn't mean I want to have sex with you nor does it mean you don't have to do any work. Get your ass in gear and get to work and don't expect me to do research and make the presentation. I would do it to ensure MY mark, but rest assured I'll tell the teacher you're a fucking mentally stunted harlot and that you were about as useful to the group as a used piece of toilet paper.

My German books alone cost around $120 dollars, and that's with the 30% discount I got when I ordered them to work. If I get into the Math class I want tomorrow, then I won't be so lucky then, since I can't order the book to my job fast enough and will have to get it through the school for almost as much as the aforementioned three German books.

I have about 20 books between the History seminar classes I think, and even with my discount that will probably come out to about $250...though that's really like an eighth of the amount of money that I've spent on books this summer.

There are some decent looking broads in Photography. This one broad has such an average face, but them thighs were so juicy and plump....I couldn't stop looking. Luckily, the teacher had the projector on so I was free to do so without worry.

Only one class today. That Introduction to Abstract Algebra Math class I got into. Oddly, I could immediately tell my teacher was German considering how we learned to write 1 yesterday--minus the underscore--in German class. That was a weird concidence.

The class seems rather interesting even though everything we went over was rather basic and the book cost as much as three of my German books through work; speaking of work, I traded with someone for tonight out of kindness and yet again got shat on by the universe as three people then decided to fucking call out, but I digress....

I got saddled next to this annoying Asian kid with no manners who kept fucking half-turning and "accidentally" kicking me. Figures that would happen. And, honesty, I would rather have it just because was some weird "Gasian" coming to me rather than the likelihood that he's just another Chinese person--I'm assuming since I'm already being rather racist (and "they" aren't helping any)--with no fucking manners or concept of "person space".

Oh well. That class is amazingly the one with most people in it, about 40, of all the classes I'm taking in it.

The History seminar I have about animals on Thursday only has like six people in it, which is fucking awesome. :wgrin:

Finally started my last semester of college yesterday and I can say it was full of ups and downs throughout the whole day.

First off, I'm commuting this semester since I've already finished 4 full years and seniors aren't allowed to stay on campus anymore. Add that with the fact that finding a decent apartment nearby for just the fall semester is near impossible and that leaves me with commuting. I don't drive anywhere near as much as I should (less than 10 hours by now in my whole life) so having to take a major highway to get to school was making me nervous. Turns out that driving to school wasn't as bad as I thought so that went well.

My first class of three was at 2 in the afternoon and I got there early since I had nothing else to do. After I get into the very small room (20x20 at the very best) I grab a good seat near the back of the room. Even though the class is engineering the room's location is in the basement of the math building which has the smallest desks imaginable all packed into the smallest area possible. Even at 5'4'' these desks are still a tight fit. Anyway, people start coming to class and steadily the room fills up. The professor counted 39 desks before class started. 20 minutes into class and we're up to 42 people excluding the professor. Those unlucky enough to come late had to steal a desk from one of the nearby classrooms just to be able to sit down. Surprisingly, with all of these people in a small area things weren't hot (a very good thing). In all of the boredom of reading over a syllabus I decide to check out the class and see if there are any decent looking girls in the room. For the record, I'm an engineering major so a lack of any vaginas in my classes is to be expected. But I look through the room and there are maybe 6, a very good amount compared to most of my classes. Suddenly the best two girls in the class leave because they were too fucking stupid to read the huge writing on the chalkboard that had the class name and number written out. Mind you this was half an hour into class. What a waste. That class ended and then I went to my second class which started in 15 minutes.

This was a course on nuclear power and my professor turns out to be a very old man who looks like he could pass on at any minute. Every time he stopped talking during the lecture I was thinking if he wasn't going to say anything anymore and we'd have to get a new professor. Once again I got bored so I check for any women in this class. One, just one. There are 21 guys and just 1 girl in the whole class. I don't think I've ever had a class with a guy/girl ratio this bad.

My final class was right after my nuclear power class and this one was on vehicle dynamics (sounded interesting enough to take). The professor was cool enough and obviously knew what he was talking about so there was nothing to complain about. He even ended class early so I thought that the day was just great.

There was only one thing left for me to do and that was to drive back home. Even with rush hour traffic I figured that I could get home in about an hour. After driving through stop and go traffic through a small highway I hit a major interstate and even that didn't bother me too much. What came next really fucked up my day. Right after turning off for my exit there was a red light and a bunch of cars ahead of me. In a situation like this the obvious thing to do is brake, which I proceeded to do. But as I put my foot on the brake of the car something wasn't right. Almost like when you walk up a flight of stairs in the dark and take one step higher than there actually are I just had a feeling like something wasn't working right. Turns out the brakes weren't being applied. So I smash the brakes as hard as a could and barely avoided wrecking the back of the car ahead of me. So for the next 15 miles of city driving my breaks weren't responding like they should have. Sometimes I would pump the breaks and get a normal reaction but for the most part I would smash the breaks and get a very weak reaction. Somehow I made it home but there was no way I was using that car today. I had to take a bus and a train to get to school today. Hopefully my car will be repaired before next week.
