So I just got a student refund check that I was not expecting.

Where does this money come from? I've heard people talk about it and such but I really don't know what it's about.

Its whats left after financial aid and grants have kicked in. If its way over, they cut you a check. Its really not a refund, its was your money to begin with. Thats how peeps pay rent with financial aid.

Maybe you should question its existence. I think one time I got a "extra" refund that college was aware of and wanted repayed when the time came.
