If anyone can help me, it would be much appreciated.

Here's the deal:

I was wondering if there is a way to take a standard .mp3 or .wav file and remove JUST the vocals from a song easily and without any technical know-how.

I've searched and read a little bit, but I can't really find a definitive answer. So, does anyone know if there's a program out there that will do what I need or if it can even be done?

Thanks.

Easily?

Not going to happen.

You can try inverting an instrumental's waveform with the vocal track though. If the tracks are synched, invert one, and mix it into the other. Whatever is identical in the two tracks will cancel out, leaving only what isn't similar (vocals in this case).

http://www.goldwave.com/

There's a preset that comes with goldwave that "removes volals." Obviously being a preset it's kinda cookiecutter and doesn't always give good results. But it might work well enough for the song you have in mind, might not.

With some techical know-how, you could also use Goldwave to do it properly. But I dunno how to do that lol, but the preset is just a few simple clicks.
