i think i made a mistake (applying at gamestop)

so i went to apply at gamestop the other day, lucky me they're hiring 5 more people within the next 2 weeks. i have prior management experience at a movie theater so i feel pretty confident about being one of those 5 people. so the store manager says i need to print the application from online, fill it out and bring it back. so i do just that. i think he was surprised that it only took me about 15-20 minutes to do so.

here is my 1st mistake: i figured i'd try to have a sense of humor. on the desired wage i put 6.75 (or more, i won't mind.)
^^^i thought that might get a grin, but i'm a fucking idiot and minimum wage is up to 7.25 now. i was out of work when they raised the minimum wage since i had surgery on my shoulder.

2nd mistake: i needed 2 personal or job related references. so i put my old general manager for the first one. since everyone i used to know doesn't work at my old job anymore, i figured i'd put a personal reference. i put my friends name whom i've known for 17 years. under "relation" i put "my bff <3 (no homo)" looking back... that probably wasn't a good idea. i thought it was hilarious at the time though. i mean come on, do you think they'll get a chuckle out of it? or say fuck this retard. :sweat:

They all say they'll call you back or review your application blah, blah. What that means is we'll call you, don't call us. Applying for jobs is one of those things in life were people get to scrutinize you before you even get started.
