Is it safe for me to buy a years worth of XBOX live for the original Xbox?

I bought one not to long ago and am really digging the games. Most importantly the online 2-d fighters look great. Is it worth my time? Are there people on the servers?

I dont think many people play anymore, not at the point where you can sign in randomly and expect to find good games. If you get a years subscription, as far as this game goes youd be best to enter your details in the CVS2 revival roster thread and find some comp fairly local to you that youd get a nice connection with.

3rd Strike still has a few players if you like that. It would probably be easier to build up a friendslist on that game.

Every other fighter has completely dried up afaik.
