Got the first volume of Studio Udon's translation of Masaomi Kanzaki's manga!
Brand new cover from the artist, looks really good even though I miss his Chun-Li with the double set of bangs on her face heh! Ah she still has the double set in the interior though which is what counts. :lovin:
There's color images of the first four covers that were issued back when the story was translated here years ago as seperate comics. On the back you can see an image of the cover of the original manga volume too, double Chun-Li bangs! :lovin:
Every character's bio is in the first few pages! There is also very indepth descriptions of the island of Shad, the tournament and Masaomi Kanzaki takes you through how he came up with Gouken's design, the same one Capcom uses and adapted from him!
There is also a relationship chart for all of the characters. The arrow that Chun-Li has that points to Ryu says "Loves" yippee! Ryu's arrow that points to Chun-Li says "A little shy around!" Oh and in the forward Masaomi Kanzaki says, "Dammit, Ryu and Chun-Li!! Get a room!!" ME HAPPY! For those of you that are anti Ryu and Chun-Li fret not, on the relationship chart it says, "These are character relations set forth by the Street Fighter II manga, and may differ from the relationships within the actual game." D'OH!
On top of that they show you Ryu and Ken's fight in the Street Fighter Alpha manga so you get a little preview of that book. And they show you a few pages of the Korean comic Udon is going to translate, Dorothy of Oz.
Only read the first few chapters so far and it reads a lot better than the older translation. Mike Bison (Balrog in the US) no longer comes off as an old man which makes more sense since he and Ryu are only a few years apart.
More reading ahead of me. Great book, check it out if you can!
