I'd love for it to be set in the distant-future. So I'd only really want the following:

- Old Ryu as end-of-game boss (he'd come after the standard evil storyline boss)
- Ken's kid/s
- Sakura grown up (what she'd be like I have absolutely no idea, Capcom would really have to thjink about that one)


The rest can all be new, I really think Capcom could do it. I love the SF3 cast, folks like Dudley, Urien, Makoto etc etc.

Ideally: All of them. Eventually. Maybe by the 3rd revision.

Realistically: A good mix of SF1, SF2, SFA, and SF3, plus some new faces. They should aim for about about 24 characters to start off with, not including any boss[es], depending.

Personal choices:

SF1: Adon, Geki
SFA: Guy, Rolento, Rose
SF2: Ryu, Ken (natch), Akuma, Zangief, Chun-li, Guile, Cammy, Vega, Sagat, M.Bison
SF3: Alex, Yun OR Yang, Ibuki, Dudley, Hugo, Q, Makoto
New: 3-4 should do the trick, plus a new boss.

I'm ambivalent on adult Sakura/Karin personally. Sakura's only popular because of her sailor fuku, which wouldn't make sense depending on when this game is supposed to take place (I hope they don't make the gap between SF3 and 4 to be real time).

Note: Storyline should NOT be a factor for which characters to include. That includes characters who are officially dead. You can make up any bullshit story you want for how characters return. Plus, if all else fails, yuo can make the dead characters secret characters and give them no endings, a la the secret Marvel characters in MSF and MvC.

Girl that Chun Li saves: Older, trained under Chun Li, so is basically the new Chunners.

Ryu, Ken, Sagat, and Sakura all are should be pretty much manditory, since three out of the four need to finish their stories, while Ken is a an automatic because he's the rival, and is a must. Seriously, I want really want to see how the characters are now a days, and I really want to see how Sakura has grown as a character, as well as Sagat.

Gouki is a must as well, because his storyline is not finished with Ryu. I would also like Chunli back for nostalgic reasons, simply because she was there from the SF2, and has been the only real poster girl for SF imo.

I would really like Guile back, simply because, his style of play is simply too good (sorry, Remy doesn't cut it), his character is just too pimp. Vega (Claw) I would also like back, simply because he was another fan favorite and a great character that deserves to return.

Zangief wouldn't be a bad addition as well, since he was imo a must. Hell, they should just bring back the SFII cast overall. Y/Y Brothers needs to come back, I want Ibuki back as well, and Sean needs to come back and become a beast again, not his 3S shitty version.

Although Dictator is supposed to be dead, you can't have a SF4 without Psycho Crushers, come on now.

-Ryu was now so powerful that he became the boss of the game, the 'Sheng Long' of this era and Ken was a hidden sub boss

I'm down for ryu and sakura picking up a new fighting style though.

I wouldn't like if it Ryu plays completely different...since I've always loved his zoning/spacing style that for the most part he's always had. Sean's different enough to set him apart, the only three that show the most similarities is obviously Ryu, Ken and Gouki, the other two shoto's are quite different enough.

Ryo, I completely agree with you, it would be cool to see the storyline evolve away from Ryu/Ken and about Sakura or Mel. However, Capcom has been doing that since...well...SFIII. Alex just wasn't well recieved, SF4 should be the last time Ryu is more or less the central storyline, however he could still be the poster boy, I don't mind that.

I would love to see an Adult Sakura being taught by Ryu, and Mel learning under his father. That would be a great new generation for me in my opinion.

I seriously want to see Sagat in SF4 though, he was the character I missed the most not being available for SFIII.

Gouki-Likely. Almost as essential as the above 3. Gouki is too much a part of the SF story/legacy to not have in a major installment in the series. He also, like Ryu, will be quite older at this point. He may even have grown a beard like Gouken. Who knows, it would make sense.

Ryu I believe is in his early 30's...like 32 or 33 when SFIII took place. So it would really depend upon when SF4 would take place. I would assume that Ryu will probably be in his mid 30's or at the most late 30's within SF4.

Sakura would be in her 20's...damn, just thinking about that...I want to see a full fleshed out mature Sakura now!

I wouldn't mind Mel...however considering he's only like 3-4 yrs old when SFIII takes place...and if SF4 takes place not much longer after it...he'd be under 10 yrs of age. So seeing him laying the ass kicking on guys like Hugo would just be quite ridiculous. Although I wouldn't mind Mel, it'd be quite akward...unless SF4 takes place that much further down away from SFIII.

Ryu I believe is in his early 30's...like 32 or 33 when SFIII took place. So it would really depend upon when SF4 would take place. I would assume that Ryu will probably be in his mid 30's or at the most late 30's within SF4.

Sakura would be in her 20's...damn, just thinking about that...I want to see a full fleshed out mature Sakura now!

I wouldn't mind Mel...however considering he's only like 3-4 yrs old when SFIII takes place...and if SF4 takes place not much longer after it...he'd be under 10 yrs of age. So seeing him laying the ass kicking on guys like Hugo would just be quite ridiculous. Although I wouldn't mind Mel, it'd be quite akward...unless SF4 takes place that much further down away from SFIII.

For me it all depends on how the cast is done. I'm personally hoping they focus on keeping it a balanced indepth game and don't shove too many characters in it. Around 24 characters would be good. I think Ryu and Ken are musts,i think Sakura should return except fully trained now. There should be a new younger girl who fights just like Chun-Li,Sagat should come back,the rest are a toss up. What characters would you guys like to see return?

M.Bison, the titles gotta have Bison again. I don't care if he is supposed to be "dead" in the storyline or whatever.

He can then proceed to replace that pansy, gill, as the villain :lovin:

Chun will be in it, she is getting her own movie in he near future (and I have seen the model)

Ryu and Ken should be the boss. Like a tandem fight where its one after the other or they tag in and out.

I would be happy with 12-20 characters and I would like to see them aged a bit.

In fact, it would be cool there were only like 8 base characters (ala SF2), but then you could pick the variant. Like Boxer or wrestler, and then you specify and then maybe select the super or something.
