Why do you have SF2 marked with an "SNES" tag? The SNES versions of the songs were pretty awful in comparison to the original arcade versions.

Brawl is doing--have a ton of new and retro music (remixed or OG) and have the option to select which songs you want to play (so you could uncheck one you didn't like) and the frequency at which they'll be played based on the stage.

You should jack this feature from SSBB no matter what!

I would like All of the Street Fighter II Theme Songs, but completely revamped from their originals.

I actually really liked Ryu's Remixed Alpha 2 Theme, now that was the excellent. Gouki's Street Fighter Alpha 1 Theme song is still to this day, the best Gouki Theme Song ever, his Alpha 2 remix is nowhere near as good.

This is the kind of shit that I'm talking about...listen to these three.

I agree with the people who want to hear all-new music in this game. This is a new game, and should have all-new music. Furthermore, this game should push the boundaries of what a fighting game can do, and therefore the music should push boundaries too! There's a lot of great Japanese composers out there who I'm sure would love to contribute to SF4! How about some Yamazaki Maso (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=57285423)? Yasutoshi Yoshida (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=77881316), maybe? Customization on that level and even higher should be a definite possibility, however its up to the creators if they want to put time into the 'small' things. Custom soundtracks would be the quick fix, but that would be an awesome feature. :tup:

To expand on that idea, I'm not sure if PS3 or 360 can do this, because I don't have either of those yet, but the Wii allowed you to import your own music into some of your games.

They should allow that option if it was possible. So you can customize your SF4's music.

No fighting game has ever had 'good' music. The only one that comes close is Guilty Gear, which even then is only likeable if you're into metal/hard rock. But Street Fighter 2 and onwards has had decent music to say the least. Definitely not something you're going to be humming to yourself but it's good enough so you won't be annoyed (Most of the music anyway).

-Zangief: Probably my favorite music from the entire SF2 series. When I think of SF2's music in my head, Zangief's theme is always the first one that comes to mind for some reason. The X-Men vs. SF version was probably my favorite rendition.
-Cammy: It fits her stage in SSF2/T perfectly. When I hear it, I can just picture the Northern Lights in the sky and the crows flying around the screen.

SFA3:
-Karin: It's really upbeat, positive and memorable. I think sounds like the perfect song to use on a stage that has a starry night in the background.
-Cammy: Pumps you up for the fight. It's really catchy and being the only song in SFA3 with a vocal sample makes it stick out even more.

Third Strike: I'm less acquainted with the SFIII soundtracks, but there are a couple of songs that stick out to me...
-Chun-Li
-Twelve

The only song I actively do NOT want to hear in another game is Elena's Third Strike theme. It would be a lot better if it weren't so repetitive and if the vocals didn't sound like they were saying "Beep-the-beep-the-beep" instead of "beats, the beats, the beats"... no offensive to anybody who likes it though. I just find the vocal sample annoying.

The tune that fits the description of "Tha warrior sound"... theme of E. Honda.

Ryu's, Ken's and so on are excellent, but Honda's is proper fighting spirit music... not just video game music.

Deejay's is another perfect fit for a fighting game like SFII. The others are too much like musical performances, instead of ideal background music.

i really like rolento and gens music in sfa2 and also adons,
and of course cps1 street fighter2. only cps2 version of music i enjoy is probably guiles.

i just hope the music is arcadey sounding with lowbit stuff with beeps and such.

and not techno or industrial/urban sounding. but chances are they will go the same route as third strike.

actually sfex 1 had excellent music it was a new style but it was iconic and memorable still.

if they never released ex series and happened to use that set of music for sf4 i feel that might of worked.

since they are going for that sf2 feel hopefully they use some cps1 samples in their music..

I'm listening to the PC version of SF2's soundtrack and so far it's amazing. Honestly a good mix from the entire series minus Marvel vs Capcom 2 would be more than welcome.
