You know logically speaking, Bison could've survived the raging demon, I mean it has been hinted variously through out the series and spin off dream matches that he has transcended his humanity, and his soul is not necessarily what you would call 'normal'. Gill could survive it (even though the raging demon attacks the soul), I think it is quite fathomable that he survived it and now possesses a new body or Rose/Cammy.

Either way, I think the concept of psycho power, how it feeds off of negative energy such as fear and hate then manifests itself physically is too interesting to let die. I would love to see a Bison/psycho power possessed Rose/Cammy in SF4.

Either way, any returning characters have to be relevant plot wise and have a sense of direction. So if Bison were to return, in whatever form, he (or she) should have a new definitive direction/depth besides the "I'm generic evil and I want to rule the world".

I'm sure there will be a grappler type, but I really want Zangief in this one. Hugo didn't really cut it for me...something about the old school guys that have so much character. I really want Zangief, Dhalsim, and Sagat in this.

As far as Akuma playing the same as Ryu and Ken...wha? No. He was so glass-jawed there was no mistaking the playstyle as the same.

Guile HAS to have the same move set. In fact, I hated playing him ANY other way... even with supers (which I found ungodly hard). I liked the straight up Sonic boom/ Flash kick , switch to offensive knee bazookas AND THROWS, kind of Guild from SF2. The super sonic boom one was silly. I had no use for him. If it is changing his super moves... fine... but KEEP the basic move set.

I want an adult Sakura mainly to see how her skills developed, especially after hinting that she had great natural ki ability. (chick did learn to do fireballs just by watching after all) There's some interesting potiential there to tap into, more than Sean anyway.

I love TS' idea of making Akuma nonplayable. I'd rather have the game WITHOUT Akuma, but if he must be in there for story or marketing purposes or what have you, he should non-playable Super Turbo style, where the only time you saw him is if certain conditions were met.

When a hidden character becomes playable, he loses a certain something that made him a badass to begin with. Its time to bring Akuma back to that level.

Oh and sorry, no Guy, Haggar, Cody, Maki or whoever, the game should be Street Fighter to the core and the only non-SF series characters should be new ones made specifically for this game, thus making them SF series characters.

Save all that other shit for Capcom Vs. Whoever 3.

Just so you know, Guy, Haggar, Cody, and Maki are technically Street Fighter characters.

Originally, Final Fight was supposed to be an actual sequel to the ORIGINAL Street Fighter titled 'Street Fighter 2: The Final Fight' but instead made into its own game. And think about it, Guy and Cody being in Street Fighter Zero/Alpha.

I would love to see that! SF has never had a grappler who isn't slow and sluggish. Zangief, Hugo, and Alex are all pretty cool, but it's something else to play as a grappler like Ramon and Clark in KOF.

Apart from that, I'd like to see Guile back. I'd also like Balrog and Dudley to both be in there. Their contrasting approaches to boxing( Balrog's all-out frenzies vs. Dudley's finesse) would be pretty interesting to see against each other.

Yun and/or Yang should be back. They did Kung-Fu more justice than Gen and Fei Long.

I also want Cammy to be back. She's my favourite SF girl, and I'm sick and tired of Chun-Li.

Aside from that, I'm hoping Capcom come up with more interesting new characters this time. It's hard to top the original SF II cast for impact, but the SF III cast was a little on the weird side. Gill, Remy and Necro just don't strike me as good designs.

If Sakura is in the game, she should be older. The only way she can stay young is if this is some kind of ALPHA spin-off or she fell off a mountain and now she's a Highlander [or at least thats what ATHF says].

Dan and Blanka as a tagteam ONE character kind of deal. Like those Mountain Climbers in Smash. Blanka could grab the opponent and bite their face off while Dan taunts. Or give Dan's Gadoken more range by teaming it up with a Blanka Watermelon Toss. :saikyo:

Need a breakdancer too. One that has a mean ass mix-up game.

Hugo needs to come back and Poison needs to be selectable. Dunno what HER game would be like, but they could throw in an easter egg and have her throwing handcuffs. Probably a grappler similar to Clark, where she tackles them down and you can input more commands for her to capitalize while in a ground game.

Fei Long is somehow no longer in the movie business..he grows a small beared and a face that makes him look like hes kinda in depression.. he has nowhere to go and no job. He got back to fighting on the streets to get a little money.

He has trouble with triad gangs that menaces holds a rencon on him with one of his family members or something, cos the agressors took advantage about the fact that hes rich cos hes a movie star ( although they do not know that hes no longer in it and in depression and alchohol ). So his only hope is getting money from street fighter 4 tournament.

IMO, you can take out Fei Long, T-Hawk, Cody, Guy, Dan, Maki out.

To me Akuma is an iffy point there, his core style is that of a shoto but he plays differently in ways.

Other from that I think you can keep alot of the cast in there from the Alpha series and I feel that it would not make a world of change.

1) tkeep that storyline stuff in the comic forum or someshit (*it doesnt have to be 'Ibuki' in name)
2) twelves isnt some shang tsung ripoff gimmick. I find his moveset very interesting. In the SF world he is very unique. It allows him to turtle and unexpectedly rush down in short bursts. He has a very unique mixup in his air dash which involves ambiguous crossups and his IAD which can be performed out of a canceled standing forward and is also immediately cancelable itself. He is rich in mind games. Who would have ever thought a char with an airdash could exist in an sf game? admittedly the Twevel's effectiveness is dubious, but that doesnt stop me from having loads of fun playing around with his attributes.

personally i would hope that capcom would take a cue from the diversity of these two characters movesets.

3S may not be my favorite fighter, but those are my two favorite chars in the SF universe. And i dont mean their storyline or their design or any of that bullshit that donst make a difference to gameplay.

So what, SFA series had Sakura who was 15 / 17 , so a 14 or 15 year old Ibuki can appear in SF4. Also Ibuki is a Ninja who lives in a Ninja village , so even if she's 14 , 15 years old in SF4 she would still know how to do Ninjutsu.

Like I said, most fighting games follow storylines. No matter what, what happens within a fighting game adheres to said story.

Look at it this way, no storylines = why not throw in every SF character into SF4? You could even put in some darkstalker characters, all of project justice, a bit of of Saturday night slam masters, and even a smudge of final fight. They've all had relations to SF in some form.

You do realize this game takes place WAY after Alpha 2, and Akuma has appeared before in Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and that hasn't stopped him from appearing. Besides, he's already pretty much confirmed for this game. Alpha series takes place before SF2, but after SF1

Edit: and this game takes place after SF2 but supposedly before SF3 given Ono's comments.

Want to see Ingrid, Sodom, Haggar, and Twelve.

The three that have appeared in the SF fighting games are those I've gotten pretty much used to, and their playstyle is unique (and no Twelve is not just shapeshift fodder :P). Haggar would be able to give a different grappler than Zangief or Abel (hopefully), and he deserved a better appearance after Streetwise. oy.

I really don't want to see Bison or Rose. Really Cammy's edited storyline proved any more Bison in the series is just going to be very very messed up.

there was something mentioned about sagat somewhere. nothing official but i think it was from someone who was at one of the beta tests. i believe he said he saw boxer and sagat and had NET above their names, so it was computer controlled only. i wish i could give you the source but there's been so much news coming from everywhere that it's easy to forget where you've seen it
