Like does anyone know how long one has to heal or how much it hurts? Any opinions for or against? Even though you're less likely to get the dick cheese ::shutters:: you're also less likely to get STDs when you're banging a dirty-ass skank. Also, if you get old or end up on medications that weaken your immune systems like Enbrel, or even chemotherapy, it lowers the risk of UTIs.

As for whether or not it affects sex...hell if I know. Haven't tried it both ways. Though I've also never heard of people saying how empty and without-feeling their sex is cuz they got a circumcision when they were a baby.

I've done a lot of research on it... so bare with me.

The "health risks" are quite bullshit. Any penis is open to the same diseases, regardless of the foreskin. The only true use that circumcision has is that it rids the potential of developing phimosis, in which the foreskin gets so tight that a guy can't pull it back.

The reduced sexual pleasure comes in the form of reduced sensitivity. The foreskin keeps the tip of a dick sensitive... without it, that sensitivity is greatly reduced.

In actuality, circumcision is generally quite useless. Many doctors are ignorant to the functions and need of the foreskin, so they push parents to get rid of it at birth. Most parents don't research this at all, so of course they go through with it. America is the only country where the majority of males are cut... uncut is actually the bigger percentage worldwide.

Just to give you an idea of how bogus circumcision is, more and more males are going through the foreskin restoration process. Many American males are feeling robbed of something they were born with.

i got circumcised earlier last year because my frenulum tore during sex. i hoped it would be fine without going to a doctor and after the initial healing it was ok but months later it started hurting whenever my wife and i would have sex. my only option was to go to the doctor.

the actual procedure takes like an hour. i did it under a local anesthetic. they poke your dick to numb it which isn't too bad. what does hurt is when they keep poking it to see if the numbing stuff is working. there was a spot where mine hadn't kicked in yet =(. there's a lot of blood but i didn't want to see it. after it was done it was ok. i took the bandages off 2 days later and it wasn't too bad. i had heard a lot about bruising but mine was ok. there were a few times i woke up with morning wood and i was almost in tears because of the pain when the sutures were still in. the sutures desolve on their own in 2-3 weeks. i started having sex again about 4-5 weeks after the procedure. it didn't feel back to normal till months later.

all is well now though. sex is as enjoyable as ever and i don't have to worry about my foreskin getting pulled back too hard. i think i would do it even if my frenulum didn't rip.

That bein' said, I'm not much in favor of either side. Whether or not the health risks issue is bullshit or not...iono. But having a circumcision does give you a bit of a hygienic benefit. Uncircumcised penis are more susceptible to smegma build up. I mean you gotta make sure you remember to pull the foreskin back and give you soldier a good scrub. But it's sorta like washing behind the ears, sometimes ya just forget- especially if your turtle neck doesn't pull back easy. It's kinda of a hassle but not a big problem. IMO phimosis is probably the number one reason you might want to get a circumcision. But I heard it's not much of a bother for the people who have it and as it was already mentioned, if phimosis does pose a problem, you could treat it with topical cream.

Getting an adult circumcision one of the most painful experiences of my life. Well, up to so far in my life.

If you manage to go through with it, remember this. On the day of your procedure, set up to have someone else drive you to your house and wear comfortable clothing. My doctor failed to inform me of this, so when I left that stretcher and was forced to put on my jeans, I just couldn't walk. I couldn't. Just the thought of my newly cut tool scratching against the sides of my thick pants is just irritating even today. Also, I couldn't piss during the first day because of some badly placed bandages. Be sure to inform your nurses/doctors/surgeons to do this correctly. I couldn't piss the first day, and I just remember an unbelievable pain in my bladder because my bandages were placed directly above the tip.

As soon as I remove the bandages at midnight (I couldn't wait. I had the biggest urge to piss.. ever), I recall a surge of blood just dripping down from my junk and onto the toilet.. and touching it was worse. It felt like a damp sponge to your finger, but Jesus Christ, it was the worst feeling you could ever feel.

The following weeks make it extremely difficult to walk without extending your pants, so either ready yourself from ridicule from your peers, or take a couple of weeks off work/school. Also, you can't wear underwear. Shit hurts.

It healed for about 2 weeks for me. I didn't remember being on much pain, but I was on pain medication which helped. DEFINITELY take some pain medication after the surgery if you take the sleeping gas route though, lol. At night it hardly mattered because you're asleep (so I didn't have to take any medication, really), but then again, that's me.

And finally, try not to be around things that will give you a boner. :rofl: That includes, staying away from porn/anything titilating, really. Trust me, it's for your own good. ;)

Getting an adult circumcision one of the most painful experiences of my life. Well, up to so far in my life.

If you manage to go through with it, remember this. On the day of your procedure, set up to have someone else drive you to your house and wear comfortable clothing. My doctor failed to inform me of this, so when I left that stretcher and was forced to put on my jeans, I just couldn't walk. I couldn't. Just the thought of my newly cut tool scratching against the sides of my thick pants is just irritating even today. Also, I couldn't piss during the first day because of some badly placed bandages. Be sure to inform your nurses/doctors/surgeons to do this correctly. As soon as I remove the bandages at midnight (I couldn't wait. I had the biggest urge to piss.. ever), I recall a surge of blood just dripping down from my junk and onto the toilet.. and touching it was worse. It felt like a damp sponge to your finger, but Jesus Christ, it was the worst feeling you could ever feel.

The following weeks make it extremely difficult to walk without extending your pants, so either ready yourself from ridicule from your peers, or take a couple of weeks off work/school. Also, you can't wear underwear. Shit hurts.

Bottom Line: Don't do it unless you have a medical condition. Believe me, I didn't want to.

Unless the foreskin is giving you some form of discomfort, I'd leave it alone. Almost all doctors advise against circumcision because it's unnecessary. And the practice itself is reserved for three kinds of people:

1. Jews
2. Nitpicky men and women
3. People overwhelmed with the simple task of rolling the foreskin back when cleaning
