Tekken 5 Stick Question

This morning I was just playing normally, and i felt something kinda weird on my stick.

i opened it up (barely), and it looks like whatever holds the actual joystick to the metal panel has just fallen off.

what held this originally? glue?

and how should I go about fixing it? the actual stick works fine, just its not attached to the metal plate anymore for some reason.

help?

you mean the metal tabs?
theres like 4 of em with a hole on each?

not that, those have screws in them right?

the thing im talking about is the direct connection between the metal face plate and the stick base.

there are 4 scorch marks kinda, with 2 metal tabs in the middle , like this. the * represents the circular metal pieces that barely stick out. and the . represents the scorch (or glue?) marks.

Time to weld it back on. This seems to be semi-rare on these sticks. Didn't someone else make a thread about this about six months back?
