Yes.
Yes I did.
When people dream about moving to Norway/Paris/Iceland/all the other countries above the US, call me.
Until then, meh.
I wonder if in all those countries, every big city has it's own Chinatown/little Italy/Americatown?
I'm gonna throw a guess out there and say no.

Yes I will grant Canada is different than those European countries but it still has a very small population and I'm wary of what will happen over there as more and more people choose to go immigrate to Canada and it's effect on health care and other services. I've also heard of growing racial tensions in areas of Canada.

How are their immigration policies ridiculous? People don't have a right to move to any country they choose, and if a country has built itself up to one of the nicest places to live in the world, it's their right to keep its borders guarded. A lot of these countries have extremely generous social well fare programs, so if they started to allow more people in, you can bet you'd have tons of people leeching off their hard work.

and that's exactly my point. Ridiculous was the wrong word. Very strict or extremely discriminant is more accurate. I'm not saying they're wrong but people that bash on America seem to over look stuff like that. If the list was best countries you can actually gain citizenship in it'd be Canada (but I stated why I'm wary of Canada in my earlier post) and America only from the original top 12 countries in the list from that article.

Ya, its called "Pakis moving in taking over neighboorhoods and turningthem to shit"
Do not jump to conclusions and think Iam racist either. A paki family moves next door and comes over to our garage sale. The WHOLE fucking family, in their long ass robes and everything. What do they do with these robes? They steal our shit and hide it in them. All the while the dad talks to us like he's a savy distraction.
I noticed this shit asap and let it goa few minutes because it was funny and they were stealing our garbage, but thats just one of many. Most of them are dirty as fuck too, they dont keep up their houses and the majority have morales like the example I gave.
Anyone know what Iam talking about? Mill Woods anyone? Edmonton?

if some people that were the same race as you or a race that you respect came to your garage sale and stole, would you be posting on SRK describing them by their race?

Dhalsim is Indian and therefor it is not correct to refer to him as a paki, which only refers to Pakistanis. Indians and Pakistanis do not get along too well. Anyway about Pakistani immigrants, THEY FUCK THEIR COUSINS. Often, a family will force the daughter to marry a relative from the old country and these marriages are not sham marriages arranged just to get a visa, they are fucking reproducing. Also, many Muslim immigrants refuse to assimilate meaning that they end up living in ghettos, which can become breeding grounds for violent Islamist ideologies. Cousin fucking, combined with non-assimilation and Islamic culture's suppression of interaction between the sexes basically will lead to a person with cousin fucker parents to fuck his/her cousin who also had cousin-fucking parents which basically does the same thing to DNA as an AIDS patient taking a bloody, diarrhea dump does to a crowded swimming pool filled with unchlorinated water. This eventually will, and already has with certain Pakistani families in the UK, lead to the Pakistani immigrant community joining trailer trash, Hasidic Jews, polygamist Mormons, Amish, and royalty as people with DNA so fucked up that whenever they have sex with a member of their community, they basically have to get genetic testing/go on Maury to see if their partner is TOO RELATED and their kids will be born with 3 boobs and 5 butts. I personally have nothing against Pakistani immigrants as long as they don't fuck their cousins, adopt Islamist ideologies, wear burqas, engage in criminal behaviour... you get the point.

California > Iceland. I don't know if they take pleasantness of surroundings into account in these things, but Iceland and Norway would definitely take a hit if they did.
That said, I've actually thought about moving to Canada or Norway sometime in the future, you know, just to see how it is.
About the immigration thing, Sweden has one of the highest (maybe the highest?) percentage of citizens who either were born abroad or had at least one parent born abroad, at 16.7%. In Norway, 8.9% of the population is immigrant or the children of immigrants, it's 9.9% in Iceland, and it's 10% in Ireland. Australia has a similar immigration history to the US in that it was formed by settlers, people were already living there, and since then it's been a nation of immigrants, especially now when 24% of Australians were born elsewhere. These are not small numbers, and you can easily look them up on Wikipedia.
Even though it's not a country, California is the best place to live.
Pretty much. California is the only state that has all of America within it's confines. Hell....we got a theme park in the state with the state as the theme. And we have top tier restraunts. :china:
Though I do want to go to Canada. I went to Toronto in 2001. Place is the bomb. Yes...THE BOMB.

Yea I read that article as well. It even had a list of industries producing the wealth within California which I can't remember all of them. The entertainment/film/television industry was of course one, agriculture, wine (California producing 90% of wine consumed in the entire US), probably tourism and some other stuff.
If you ask me, they can add parking tickets issued, making people register their vehicles every year opposed to other states and high costs of living. Then they want to tax Indian Reservations' casinos/gambling industry placing TV ads looking for encouragement on the issue basically saying the state is losing money. What the fuck ever. Just greed if you ask me.

I agree, I think America has the most 'issues' but also, therefore, the most experiences dealing with them, because we're an extremely heterogeneous society as compared to places like Iceland or Japan. I think America's racism issues are out in the open and discussed, whereas in other countries, racism might not be the open issue it is here, but it's still very much alive - only hidden

How does the possibility of more tense race relations invalidate the whole thing? Either way, the article says its based off things like life expectancy, average income and education levels. You can't really quantify racism, nor can you find any country where none of the citizens will take issue with the color of someone's skin.

I agree with you and Maxx. I can't see why anyone would think otherwise. People tend to forget that the U.S. is the melting pot of the ENTIRE planet. No other place has as much diversity of racial ethnicities all in one country.
The U.S. was built and founded by foreigners.

Been to Toronto a bunch of times and Vancouver once. I'd have to say being from upstate NY and knowing winters, Vancouver looks like a storybook winter wonderland during the later part of the year. I was actually seriously thinking about going to film school in Vancouver, it was tied with the school I went to as my #1 choice, when I was school shopping. Should have listened to my gut and chose Vancouver.

The Japanese are xenophobic and don't let anyone in their country. There is a reason why white supremacist/sepratist use their immigration policy as an ideal model.
Aussies simply do not like the new crop of immigrants, being they tend to bully women on beaches, gang rape them and attack dirty infidels.

True. I hate it when you see these cocksuckers on TV going on about what a peaceful religion Islam is but when you look to the middle east its all about violence and death. :lame:
The real concern for me isnt that most muslims WILL become terrorists, its that they CONDONE terrorism. At least in my experience.
Maybe they should keep their shitty attitude and culture in their shitty third world countries.

The hate, I can cut it with a knife. I don't like how the majority of muslims act, but there are many down to earth people, and it is the second largest religion in the world and has a huge growth rate. You either have met only asshole muslims or you are generalizing based on news reports. Everything can be twisted for evil, and I contribute the shitty condition in the third world mostly to political corruption.
We need more people like this in power, and not just in the middle east: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0lut5DyQl8
