I do agree with title matches ending in DQ on a PPV to be bullshit. This is supposed to be a culmination or a rebirth of a feud while a DQ does nothing for that. Let there be a clean win for the face or cheating for the heel and we can be happy. To many run-in's and DQ's and you start to look like WCW or *shudder* TNA.

the thing is...randy is weak. he's a sniveling whiny weak champion and i love it. cause he will exploit any weakness he see's to get his way. It makes him a way different champion than say triple h or kurt angle. Those two are great heel's for different reasons. Triple h is great because of his skillset and he makes u love him and hate him at the same time. kurt does the same thing..but less of the mic skills and more he's just so damn good in the ring you dont wanna hate his ass.

but randy is ok ring wise and ok mic wise...but what makes him great is his insationable drive to win. He is young and hungry and may not be strong but will use any fucking tool he can to beat you. He'll poison your ass if given the chance just to keep his gold. He should be played up like he's the golomn of wwe.

On is way to the title he was much more beastly taking out legends, Cuncusion kicks, beating the shit out of Cena’s father, Annihilating Cena and shooting him into outerspace (Prelude to WorldWarCena).

Now look at him, he runs like a coward, and looking at maxx post it seems people have forgot what a beast he was, thats too bad, because I liked the cold killer Orton more than this version.

Its going to be funny watching him run away from the Rainbow warrior.

Also don't be fooled by Omega H, he might not be in the title run but RAW will always be about him, I think he was in 4 or 5 segments last week, thats too much and I remember when he had that ppv all to himself.

Ron Killings' release from TNA was confirmed last weekend. He asked for his release after TNA held a meeting where TNA said they would let anyone who wanted to leave, out of their contract. It was pretty much considered to be a formality he'd be let go. The two parties formally agreed last weekend.

Killings has a spot waiting for him in AAA in Mexico if he decides to take it. As soon as his working papers are complete, which should be in February, he will likely be working there.

On his MySpace page regarding his release, he talked about going back to his "original stomping grounds." Early in his career, he worked the indies in Georgia and the Carolinas, and of course, there was his brief run in WWE. It is unknown at the moment if WWE is interested in him or not. However, what is known is that Jeff Hardy and Umaga are pushing company officials to sign him to a contract.

Yeah that's a good point. I understand maxx's post but I think what you said is the main problem.
Maxx sounded like a PWI magazine I recently read at the grocery store, except everything he said about orton such as being resourceful and using every tool to win, they (pwi writers) said about edge.

I don't think wwe really cares though because this type of heat is what gets the casual hooked and they want someone to beat on orton. WWE could care less about what us smarks think about him and the way he's booked.

Even though orton looks hella weak now, imo he's more of a heel than triple h has been in the last 7 years. If you're a true heel, you should not be getting cheered, that's just my opinion, I know some people will disagree, but it's because I'm looking at the words "babyface" and "heel" from a mark perspective now. Triple H, when he is a heel gets booed by the casual mark crowd, but cheered by smarks. Orton's heat is FAR from X-Pac heat. That's a ridiculous comparison. Orton may not get the typical heel heat you want your top heel to get but he's still getting a reaction. You're shooting real high here. The only person in the company that approaches everybody's expectations in this thread is Edge and Orton is simply not as good at the moment. It's been said a bunch of times here: Edge is the best heel in the company. No one else is at his level and it will be some time until someone can be. I said it three years ago that Edge was or would eventually be the top heel in the company. It only took him till early-2006 to accomplish that.

When I see Orton on TV, he's getting booed. I don't really hear any vulgar or negative chants tho, which I would expect for guys with the "wrong" kind of heat. And I'm not really expecting to hear this since IMO Orton is delivering quite well as a heel champ. His promos are obviously not the best but dude is putting on good matches and going over the top babyfaces consistently and in a believable way. That's good enough for me. I made the JBL comparison because he worked in the opposite fashion, where as his promos were incredible but his in-ring work left a lot to be desired while he was champ.

There's a difference between polarizing opinions/characters and the wrong kind of heat. I really don't understand why everyone is bombing on Orton here. He's doing the best he currently can as far as how he is presented and the position he is in at the moment.

Cut the crap with all the Orton bashing. Some people still praise JBL's title reign which is pretty much a paper copy of what Orton is doing right now: getting dirty wins. Except Orton is a lot better since he has about 10 times the ring talent than JBL has ever hoped to attain. Yeah, sure, he might get some underhanded wins, but you're not gonna tell me that his matches SUCK? The Last Man Standing match against HHH was good, his "special" match against HBK was VERY good, and his match against Jericho yesterday wasn't too shabby, either. And the fact that Orton is pretty smooth in the ring.... He slithers around quite naturally, and he sells blows to the head like a champ (as if he we knocked by some gigaton punch or shit like that). AND...he has reduced the ratio of headlocks per match, too. :wonder:

I know that Khali and Youmanga aren't in the same league, but don't they count as monster heels?

I may be wrong but a monster heel in my opinion is someone who dominates everybody and never loses until a big PPV against the Champ and even then almost destroys the champ. Khali and Youmanga both lose quite often now and so are mid card at best. WWE doesn't do the monster heel thing right. The last monster heel I remember was masked Kane who was unbeatable and just came down to the ring randomly to fuck people up. When said victims try to fight back they get annihilated. When the lights went red and the music hit you knew people were in trouble.

super major brothers needed a new gimmick anyway, and edge seems like a great way to get them over with the crowd. the only problem is the current champs are heels and it'll be hard to establish majors as the heel henchmen team without babyface champs to beat up.

this whole scenario reminds me of when angle was champ on smackdown and then-GM paul heyman gave him team angle to be his lackeys. I hope edge and the majors dominate all the belts like angle and the WGTT did a few years ago.

the thing is they used to make orton beastly, but he was being put up against competition who are just too far superior to them. Triple h can pretty much do what ever he wants and carry the match, orton can't truly carry a match yet..unless he does some serious heel tactics. Orton has really been really facing comp beyond his years. but he is too popular to just relegate to midcard..that might have been a option a year or two ago but they created a monster...same wit cena. orton and cena are in the same fucking exact boat together. you can see how green they are in areas..but they make money money yeah yeah(smiff...miss u cryme tyme).

orton and cena are comparable, they can easily put on a match purely on their skills because they are around the same level. orton vs jericho..dont get angry..could potentially have been purely on skills without orton getting over shadowed because i feel jericho hasmt been quite the same since he got back...ring work wise. but i think he will adjust..just been gone so long he needs to adjust. but raw has too many monsters...i would really like orton to go to smackdown.i think him fueding would edge would be perfect for him to build up his skills inring wise. learning or relearning how to carry a match purely on his skills rather than his tactics as a heel.

I agree. I love how he puts over legitimately good wrestlers too. For example, he makes Finlay appear even more bad ass than he already is. Heel King is good shit, but he has not been the same for a long time now.

Armageddon was a solid show. The matches were done pretty well. I didn't like a DQ ending for the Jericho/Orton match, but we figured there was a chance of that. However, it was unique to have JBL cause the DQ.

ECW is an awesome show. Evidently good things happen when you give match time to wrestlers who are actually skilled at wrestling. Who would of known?

MNM v2.0 and MooreWang feud is shaping up to be really good. As much as I don't like some aspects of the Miz's character I like the fact that he seems to really get into how he does his ring intro and obviously puts alot of attention into how he carries himself and projects his character. His sparkly shorts are almost as awesome as Morrison's jacket, too.

Yang seriously kills people with his dropkicks. It's not even a dropkick, it's like him just launching himself and then kicking someone dead in the face. I think Tazz called him a 'buzzsaw' at one point. Yang is officially the new 'Japanese Buzzsaw' while Yoshi Tajiri is gone. Even though, I'm not sure exactly what ethnicity he is. Shannon Moore actually got real ring time too. Usually his offensive time in a match consist of leg lariat > backheel kick > whisper in the wind, then getting pinned. I liked the skull cowboy hat.

people forget what jeff and matt did for cruisers...they had just as much impact as he who shall not be named and eddie and rey..maybe less on the ladder than those guys but still strong. they fucking made the ladder match what it is today. hbk and razor ramon invented it....hardy's in tlc matches revolutionized it.

I dunno about that. In this day and age, a heel could be the biggest dick in the world and still be great wrestler. Or at least do some heel like wrestling moves. Orton's Garvin Stomp is a perfect example. It makes him look like the biggest asshole in the world. It also adds credibility if they know how to wrestler purely. Look at the Benoit/MVP match from WM23. NO ONE thought MVP could hang with Benoit but some say he outwrestled him that night.

A Tweener or whatever you call a person who switches between heel and face can be a good "wrestler" such as before Samoa Joe became a top face, but I don't think true heels should be. MVP is being booked as a true heel. Yeah I agree, he needs to do more heel wrestling moves. Orton has picked up on it definitely.
