This thread keeps popping up every year but I couldn't find it after using the search function so I'm just starting it all over again.

So for everybody who's graduating this fall, let everyone know. Whether it's high school, a trade school, college or whatever, let's hear about it and what you're going to be doing afterwards.

As for me, after four and a half years I'm finally going to be graduating from college. I just took my last final exams today so it's all done. Nothing left for me but to go to the graduation ceremony on Wednesday and Thursday. After that, I'll have my degree in Mechanical Engineering and I can finally say goodbye to the University of Maryland. Looking back on things, it's been a lot of fun in between all of the assignments and projects but I can't wait to start working. Next month I'll be moving way out to Texas (I'm only saying "way out" since I'm here in Maryland and haven't been anywhere as far out as there) to start working at a company that hired me last month. 60k a year with a good signing bonus is what I'm really looking forward to.

What about everyone else?

I'm going to work for a company called Flowserve and the facility that they're sending me to is an hour or so east of Dallas. The only thing I might regret is that I gave them a starting date in mid-January. Looking at how long it'll take to look for an apartment, ship all of my stuff, buy a new car and get familiar with the area, I'll need more time than just 3 weeks. But it's too late now, I'm already getting mail from them saying how excited they are to see me in January. If I could change it, I'd ask for a start day in the first full week of February.

Texas FTW.
