Need help on choosing colors for buttons/stick

Hey SRK, I just needed a little advice on what color should the buttons (Happ Concave) and stick (Bat-Top) should be.

I want it to make match nicely with the image I am going to have put on my stick.

The colors I am considering are:

Black
Blue
Green
White

The stick, and buttons can be in those colors.

I was thinking of a blue stick with all white action buttons.

Then for the top three buttons I was thinking from left to right:

Blue, White, Green

Here is the link to the image. Also, FYI the template set is going to be Straight USA style, and not the Curved Japanese style this image shows. So it may change things.

I was thinking in the opposite. Bat in white (because of the shirt) and blue buttons.
The colors for the top three buttons that you said sounds good. Good luck :wgrin:

i think for the top three you should just make it something symmetrical, colorwise.
green white green
white green white
blue white blue
white blue white
for some reason i feel like 1 random green will make it feel weird.

Don't forget you can take the plungers out and mix 'em around too. I would go 3 greens/ 3 whites with swapped plungers and a white bat top. The top three...black, just so they don't stick out too much. This is a tough one, actually.

if you already havent chosen i would go with Blue stick and G W G for the buttons G for green W for white as for the 3 buttons above the stick go with blue W G W

Ok, so I finally picked all blue buttons for the top three, and all green buttons for the action ones.

I figure that should match ok?

I was thinking more all-blue for the 6-buttons, and white for start/select, black for 'other', but what you picked seems to be good as well. If you wanted to make a more colorful lay-out work, you may need to modify the image to be less neutral. It just seems like start/select should always be white to me.

Like for instance, if you had kind of a union-flag splash in the background, you could make the 6-buttons blue-white-red and it would work.

The image you have already is worth keeping though, and its basically asking for a basic all-green, all-blue, or combination set-up for the 6 action buttons.

Since you have a sort of yin and yang thing going in the background, consider these two:

BBG
BGG

GGB
GBB

I think that's slightly more spiffy and matching than a monotone blue or green.

use white. there's already alot of blue and green in the image and coloured buttons may over saturate the look. also make sure the hue of the buttons match the image if you choose green or blue. From what i remember, there are no buttons with a hue that close to the green and blue in the image. if they're not the same it may look weird/off.

for me, i would go all white.

I am a little bit conservative when it comes to colors. If I were you, I would get all buttons with the same color. Most possibly black or white but none of the colors you mentioned would be bad.

As for stick, I love it black or white, not to make my stick look like it came from a coloring book.

Just up to me - white buttons and white stick.
