Lots of talk about the various sticks and what members like here.
So lets hear it, which kind do YOU prefer?

I voted for Sanwa since that's what all my customs are at the moment. I wanted to vote for all three, though. I can adapt pretty well to Happ parts and from Happ back to Sanwa. I started playing competitively on Happ Competitions and eventually P360s, but at home on the DC, I practice on JPN/Sanwa knock-offs and later switched those guys out for actual Sanwa parts.

I like my Seimitsu. I prefer it over my Sanwa JLF for most games. The shorter throw just helps so much =).

Sanwa is the best company. Their parts are made out of the highest quality materials of any arcade parts manufacturer. Others, except for TaeYoung Fantas, seem to usually have manufacturing flaws in their joysticks (Happ) or are made of lesser materials (Seimitsu).
Sticks: Sanwa JLF w/octagonal gate and Fanta sticks for fighters. Seimitsu LS-32 for everything else. Non-fucked up Happ Comps are ok as are Wico 360s for 2d fighters, but only for 2d fighters.
Buttons: Sanwa all the way. I also like Happ Competition buttons as they can take an extremely large amount of abuse. I don't really like to use Seimitsu buttons for anything other than start and select as they change drastically in feeling over time.

Ive really only been exposed to Hori products, so I cant really say much about anything about what I prefer, but from what I have been exposed to, I like the Tekken 5 joystick that came with the $100 package, and I really like the XB360 VF5 arcade stick. I wish that the Tekken 5 stick was the same height as the VF5 one though.
I'm not too crazy about the button layout on the Hori PS3 joystick though. Its good for VF5 and Tekken, but when you're playing Super Turbo or other capcom games, the layout of the buttons really hurts my fingers. I tried switching the layout of the buttons, except now it feels like my right hand should be about 2 inches away from my left hand, like it is with the other sticks I use. It just feels awkward to me.
You completely misunderstood the question/poll the OP was asking. Hori is a peripheral maker, not an arcade part manufacturer. If you like Hori parts, then you should try actual arcade parts instead of shitty knockoffs. Once you switch, using shitty knockoffs will feel like your hands are being uh... violated no homo.

I voted for seimitsu, besides for them I most prefer the happs super stick, but I really like the shorter throw and engage on the japanese stick, and I like the sensitivity of the japanese buttons.
Sanwa ftw. I can't play on anything else.
