Lag tester for PC?

While input lag is pretty much discussed to death in here, the only real way to test it for game consoles is to purchase GH2/GH3 and use their testers that are built in. Thing is, I game on a PC monitor. Is there seriously no software out there that does GH's lag test for Windows? It'd save me the trouble of buying GH2 for 360.

ive got a question. how accurate are the gh3 lag testers? like... since it involves your own timing, isnt it a bit off. like when i do it on gh3, i get 0 ms of lag. does that mean there is no lag at all, or does it mean it was like 2 ms, but since i may have made a mistake, it just puts it at 0?

is any other accurate way to do this? thanks :)

Any other method that doesn't involve me purchasing anything? I'm surprised there isn't any software out that mimics GH's tester.
