Got this around Christmas and I really like it. So I'm making this thread for PSN related CoD4 discussion. I know there is already one in GD, but whatever.

This includes but is not limited to Class Setups, Map and Gameplay Strategies, Matchmaking, etc.. etc..

If anyone has this and wants to get in some games, I usually play Team Deathmatch, Ground War or FFA, but I'm down for any game type. My PSN ID is ddebel00 and I usually have [WARR] as my clan tag, though it isn't a clan... yet.

Also, if anyone wants to start a casual clan for CoD4 to have chill people to play with... lemme know and we'll do the damn thing.

Anyway - CoD4, get it and discuss.

This game has absolutely consumed most of my gaming time. I got it for Christmas too and it sure lives up to the hype.

I play FFA, Ground War, TD and sometimes Old School. I've been invited to one party so far and it's so fun playing with 20 other people that have a headset.

Comparing this game to a game like Resistance is like comparing GBA ST to the real thing. It's that damn good.

best sniper setup is IMO m40a1 (tiger camo = secks), c4, stopping power, iron lung
hardcore i usually use m40, UAV jammer, dead silence, and bomb squad. sometimes i'll use the m16 with silencer though

anyone play the new map yet?

and i am usually on team tactical or hc s&d

Lots of people are usually online when the servers aren't down, which are thankfully up more often these days. The biggest games come from Ground War.

I'm on any time I don't have school work or homework. Just got into my college routine so I'm sure I'll be on more in the coming weeks.

My usual setups include:
M16 w/ red dot sight, 3x frag, stopping power, deep impact

or

Silenced P90 w/ stopping power, 3x frags, and steady aim

Edit: I'm a friggin slacker and have yet to add anyone in this thread to my friends list. I plan to do this tonight... HOO HA!

added you. we should all get together and have a little private match so i can lay down the rapesauce.

i like how p90 comes with auto extreme conditioning... kinda cheap considering p90 is already a beast of a gun

Yeah, it happens to me regularly and it has worked for me only once.

At least the servers have been on the up-and-up, despite random lost connections.

if youre already in a game and you accept an invite, itll normally glitch out and you get an error message.

so if youre trying to party with some other people, you should probably find some other way to let them know so that theyre not preoccupied in something else.

i tried to accept some invited from av2k a couple times, but i kept glitching out.

I hope the next patch, whenever that is, implements a better invite system. It's too damn hard to get friends to successfully join into games. Mute option would be a godsend too.

i gave up COD4 for a few months but now the semester is about to be over. just started playing yesterday and im not that rusty. still inconsistent, but there were a few games i beasted (and vice versa)

i think they are separated. if you are in a party and don't have it, then the new maps wont pop up. tell you the truth the maps aren't that great.

in CoD4 for PC i find more and better skilled players (maybe it's the pirates w/ mouse+keyboard). I never looked into it but does the PS3 version have mouse & keyboard support???

i'm pretty sure m/kb is only compatible for unreal 3 and not cod4 so you might want to verify it.

i got the map packs tonight. just takes some getting used to since i don't know any of the maps. only got to play broadcast and creek which were ok. just something to break the monotony.

i only play GW so i havent played one of the maps. i really dislike creek because i truly believe the start off points are unequal for TDM. broadcast is kinda unequal too but only for domination. one team is ALWAYS going to get C and B first. chinatown is alright, but i just suck at that level.

edit: i'm on a kill streak breaking frenzy. broke my 19 kill streak 3 days ago with 22 and just got 27 today! this game is fuckin crack

Hey fellas,

I have the bluetooth that comes with warhawk and i have no clue how it works for the ps3. I want to use it for CoD. there is no cable to connect it to the ps3. Does the ps3 automatically recognize the bluetooth when the game and the bluetooth are on. is there something extra i need to buy? any help would be appreciated, thanks

Blue tooth settings should be somewhere in settings menus seriously if you know how to use a bluetooth then you should know that with any piece of bluetooth equipment youll need to 'sync' both items so that theyll communicate with each other. BLue tooth is wireless sync the headset up with your ps3 if you dont know how theres a manual.

Well i have my ps3 now and the games i wanted is Call of duty 4 worth picking up at all? i mean with a flurry of games coming out in the next couple of months?
