Brad Renfro Dies at 25

Actor Brad Renfro has died at age 25, PEOPLE has confirmed.

Renfro died Tuesday at a Los Angeles apartment where he spent the night with friends, Craig Harvey, chief investigator for the Los Angeles county coroner, tells PEOPLE.

Renfro was heard snoring overnight, but found not breathing later Tuesday morning, and the friends called 911. Paramedics declared him dead at the scene at about 9 a.m., Harvey says.

A cause of death was not immediately determined, but Renfro had a history of drug problems.

Drug overdose is a "possibility considering his history, but right now all we have is the history of his drinking the previous night," Harvey says. "All that we have is that he was last known to be alive during the morning hours and he was snoring."

I'm 22, but I know who this guy was because of "The Client", I like that particular movie, he had such an important role in that movie and he was around 10 if I remember correctly, now I haven't seen another movie by this guy aside of "The Client" I must confess.

The bulk of his work was from the 90s. I liked him in Sleepers best. Haven't seen Bully though. He was actually a very underrated actor. I'm a little surprised it was one of the headlines on Yahoo. It's just a shame he didn't have consistent work.

Lol, no they won't. River Phoenix had a bigger star connection at the time of his death: Johnny Depp among others. Plus his brother Joaquin is active in the movie industry, making the Phoenix name recognizable.

Renfro has a smaller following of fans, people that are familiar with child actors from the mid 90s, and appreciate movies like Sleepers and Ghost World, but his name won't conjure thoughts the way Phoenix has.

It'll be a blurb, but it won't get the ridiculous coverage of Anna Nicole.

Despite the insane attention stars' personal lives get, the media knows better than to plaster Renfro's name and photo everywhere. It's a fucked up thing to say, but to them, it's not a marketable enough death...something they could sell countless tabloids with.

I thought he was really funny as the annoyed clerk in Ghost World, which is probably the BEST comic book adaptation I have ever seen, in my opinion. (but mainly because the writers worked with the author).

Bully wasn't a great movie, but I appreciated the story it told for being as realistic as it was.
