Thing is, I always thought the universe had a ton of potential for few licensed games. It's like the people who have control of the series are trying to destroy any fandom it has left. First Highlander II, then Endgame, then the Source, and now a game from Eidos. Do they just want to render the franchise worthless or something?

Actually, the game looks good. And not just going by that short trailer. I have various screenshots in front of me from the latest Game Informer. The graphics, to say the least are top notch. The gameplay, and the rest remain to be seen.

Is it just customary to bitch about material yet to be released? Good lord. Whine whine whine.

Anyway, the Highlander franchise is far from dead, if the 2007 Japanese Feature Length Film was any indication.

The Highlander anime was produced and written by Westerners, they just outsourced the animation and direction to Yoshiaki Kawajiri, so it's not really a Japanese film.

Anyways, the game does look mildly entertaining, at least worth investigating through rental first.

It was produced in the Land of the Rising Sun, that's why in my eyes, it's a Japanese film. Who wrote it doesn't mean much in that decision. Like the upcoming Dragonball Z film is an American film, regardless of where the story originates. from.

If they hired a Korean studio to animate it, I'll bet most people wouldn't be calling it a Korean film.

If the situation was identical, then yes, it would be a Korean made film. Who directed it? Yoshiaki Kawajiri. What studio made it? Madhouse. It was made in Japan, by Japanese people. It's a "joint venture", at the least.
