I Emailed mod-chip.com and asked them if I needed a wired 360 control pad to activate the adapter, as many people have stated and this is the response I got.

"Hi

Why would you need a wired controller?

The XFPS is used to play with a keyboard and mouse.

You dont need a wired controller.

And we now ship the new XFPS Sniper version which is even better!

It definately does require a wired pad. Just ask anybody that owns one. It doesn't function without a wired pad.

But I haven't looked at them since I found out from ewashock (he bought one when they first came out) that the thing's a piece of crap. Maybe they released a new version that doesn't require a wired pad? I doubt it since I've never heard of non-licensed hardware passing authentication without using a pass-thru trick like the XFPS uses that requires a licensed wired controller be attached and I have a feeling MS isn't going to jump at the chance to let users used PS pads, lol.

My guess is the support person from mod-chip.com is just wrong.

I heard these lag, any confirmation on this? Also I don't know about the "pro" version, but the "sniper" version:

First party controllers don't work with the sniper.

^^^

ok just went out and got a mad catz controller i can also confirm that is the problem, playing on my xfps for like 15 mins, and its amazing. Mad Catz or Pelican

Maybe they fixed it in the "pro" version.
