Here is my new "masterpiece". I worked hard on it and think it's not bad. It's a Byrdo inspired stick with my artwork design. What do you guys think?
Called it the YYY, a.k.a. Yun's Ying Yang:

Hmmm... Image alignment or buttons/stick?
Thanks for the comments, it took a lot of time because I ran into a lot of problems including missing tools and accessories but if I add it up, with the artwork design and everything.... I think 50 hours should be about it but spread on like 2 months.

Nice stick but the Sanwa JLF is mounted a little high. Is this your first stick?

The stick is a Sanwa JLW, if I'm not mistaken. It has a pretty long shaft so it can be mounted under wood panels. He just has his top mounted. I have a stick like that as well. Though mine has a 45mm balltop so it doesn't look quite as out of proportion when compared to most sticks.
Oh, and nice work. I'm suprised I don't see more Yun-featuring sticks. This is a good one.

That is an odd mounting, but I'll note that I'm doing a similar mounting with a Happ Competition. No templates used, I just kinda freehanded it based on hand motions and mock buttons. That stick looks like it's even higher up than mine, though; the centre of my stick is just above the bottom of the jab's bezel on both of my finished panels.

Oh, sorry then. I was wondering why the stick looked funny. Great stick
BAD4U. I am truly impressed.
The reason there are not a lot of Yun sticks is the same reason why there are not a lot of Sagat and Vega sticks. They are cheap. Yun in 3s and Sagat + Vega in ST.

the placement of the buttons on the stick. It's more to the left. Also, can someone show me the difference of top and bottom mounting?

hahaha yeah, you have good eyes. The thing is when I designed it, I kinda centered the stick and buttons layout using the outer limits of the stick for the left side, and the hp button for the right side. What i should've done is using the mp button to center it, but its too late.

Yeah the stick is too high but theres nothing i can do now. This is my fourth stick (you can see my other sticks on the other pages on the website) but is my first one with a sanwa jlf and I thought all sanwas should be top mounted so thats what I did... and then notice it shouldnt be that way... The thing is that by bottom mounting it, the box will need to be like 1/2" thicker + another 1/2" because I was missing some clearance inside the box so that would make it 3 inches high instead of 2. How are the Byrdo's sticks done? They look so low profile. Does he use another kind of stick?

Do you mean like making the edges round or you mean the paint needs to be smoothed out?
Thanks guys for the feedback, I really appreciate it :lovin:
