Hi folks,

I just picked up this PS1/PS2 Ascii Specialized Arcade Style Joystick as seen in the picture below.

Link with picture (I didn't buy it here- $35 is ridiculous):

http://store.videogamecentral.com/ascii-arcade-stick.html

My question- Can anyone tell me what all of the sliders and buttons do on this stick and how to use them? Or is there a user manual someone can point me to? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I can't find any info and I'm not sure if I am using this stick to it's full capability.

Thanks for your help!

They are turbo switches. The colors of the tabs match the corresponding buttons. And no offense, but did you pay $35+ for that thing?

EDIT - The link you provided actually says what the tabs do heh.

No way did I pay $35 for it. I got it for $7.50. That link to that site was the only place I could find the stick on the web. That $35 price is ludicrous.

I'm still confused as to the sliders. There seems to be three settings for each slider. Do the sliders have 3 settings of turbo for each button separately?

Also, there is a slider up top that has a volume-like graphic on it (like an inclined triangle). What is that used for? And finally, what is the slow switch for?

Thanks for your help and patience!

Heh okay because I bought one not long ago and paid about $7.50 for it too. I haven't used it in awhile but I believe there are 3 turbo settings. First is off, second is manual (hold button down to keep pressing), and third is auto (button keeps pressing itself no matter what). The tab by the start button is slow-motion. It basically just presses start constantly, so the game keeps pausing and un-pausing to simulate slow-motion.

Thanks much for the reply! Could you tell me what the slider on top does (the one that looks like a volume slider with an inclined triangle graphic on it?)

Thanks!

I'd have to go home and check to see, but I'm pretty sure it's for turbo button frequency. Like the higher the "volume" the faster it presses the button when in turbo mode. Say it's on low and you use turbo it may press the button twice a second and on the highest maybe 5 times a second for example.
