The series to me ended off on such a good note. But I have faith in Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard will pull it off.

Agreed, other than it also had to do with the DVD sales. Movie does well, season DVD's pick up in sales, you never know.
I also thought Family Guy wouldn't be as good when it came back on, it was. Arrested Development would definitely have a harder time getting back on the air, actors etc..., as well as tough to keep the story going and keep it funny and fresh. But, one can hope.

The creator said he doesn't want to do it in weekly series form anymore, according to wikipedia. Apparently, it was picked up by Showtime for new episodes, but he didn't want to bother with it. I'm too lazy to link

as long as mitch is at the helm of this project, i'll trust him to dleiver the goods. look at what we got for the four final eps...some of the best stuff of the whole run...i'm guessing he won't let this project move forward unless it is actually a quality piece that stays true to the legions of die-hard ad fans...
