Calling all HFS3 owners who have busted joy bases.
Having trouble deciding how to fix/mod a HFS3 for a friend. The joy base was mounted to the under side of the control panel on 4 plastic pegs w/ screws in them holding the joy base to the panel. Well ..... these 4 plastic pegs have cracked and broken at the panel, so the base is no longer secured to the panel underside. After inspection, I thought maybe drilling 4 holes in the control panel(metal:rolleyes:) and mounting it SOMEHOW w/ carriage bolts might work? Unfortunately the holes/bolts would be on the 4 main directions and not the traditional 4 corner mounting scheme. I'm not even sure if this is a good idea, but I really didn't see any other options w/ the pegs busted off?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I know there are some other manufactured sticks out there w/ this type of (cheap)joy mounting problem(Virtua Stick?). Are there any documented fixes?
