So I decided to mod my 5 year old shitty xarcade joystick. I got a IL Eurostick and Happ Competition pushbuttons from Lizardlick. The buttons installed and worked perfectly. But I'm having trouble with the IL Eurostick. For one the microswitch connectors are a tad wider then the old stick. The buttons had the same exact shape, but the stick dosen't have the indention. So i had to pry open the connectors and crimp them onto the microswitches.
Now I took a picture of the connections before i did anything, to make sure that it was the same when I was done, and it is exactly the same, other then having to crimp the connectors. But...
I loaded up the Xarcade test program to make sure everything was fine. All 8 buttons work just like they should, but the joystick does not. If I press Down (2), that works fine. If I press Up (8), it registers after i let go, and stays that way. Left (4) registers as 2+8, and Right (6) registers 6+8.
