RUMOR: SFIV PS3 exclusive?

RUMOR: A Jeux-France blog says Capcom told the european press that SFIV will be released only in PS3 next 12th June. Does it mean it will be PS3 exclusive? I personally doubt it. But a time limited exclusive would be possible.

Capcom says they're focussing on the arcade release right now before releasing it on consoles. And if arcades in japan aren't getting until Late July/early august... there's no way they're releasing a version on the PS3 by June 12th.

although capcom europe said it is a mistake etc. something is telling that this was more of a leak than a mistake, and what i am thinking is not that the ps3 will get sf4 exclusively, but time exclusive, meaning the game will be released on both aracde and ps3 in summer and other consoles (360, wii, psp ps2 or whatever) will follow in the fall

SF is far more popular in Japan then in the States.

And I highly doubt a Wii version will be released based on the graphics we've seen on the arcade version. It'd just be ugly.

I'm thinking that developers can get paid to make games timed exclusives, right? I mean could it be possible that Sony would pay capcom money to do a timed release, preemptively compensating them for estimated sales on a rival console? (Maybe that would lead to another virtua fighter 'newer, better version on xbox' dealio?)

Or maybe they'll make it for every console including DS, Lynx and Dreamcast, who knows. I know that I have both consoles, but I'd really appreciate an xbox version due to the larger online player base. probably get both versions if they make them for both PS3 and 360 though.

Capcom is all about money these days it would be a stupid decision unless Sony pays Capcom well. SF2T is pretty big on Xbox live. It is one of the reasons why we have a SFIV because it showed people still showed interest in SF besides the hardcore tournament players.

Isn't MGS4's being a PS3 exclusive bound with Sony's concession of allowing Konami to sell the single-player and multi-player segments as seperate, full-priced games?
