GET HYPE - GET NAZI - BLITZ HEIL - PUNCH SOME JEWS

What is it?
Akatsuki Blitzkampf started as a PC doujin fighter and is as of February 28th, 2008, an official arcade game. (http://subtlestyle.net/akatsukiaa/)

Yo, I don't wanna play some faggot animu doujin fighter.
Try clicking the link above. It's not like Arcana or Melty at all. This game plays like a mix between 3S and CvS2 with a bit of Guilty.

But I hate 3S/CvS2/life.
Yeah, you probably won't like this game then.

Where can I get gameplay info?
The Akatsuki wiki (http://akatsuki.mizuumi.net) on my site has detailed information about the PC version. There's a fair number of tweaks and rebalances in the arcade version so it's not wholly up to date. The information from the wiki was largely transcribed from the Japanese wiki (http://wikiwiki.jp/akatsuki/)by nekich, with some strats and info written by the players.

I don't want to read all that shit. Gimme a quick summary.
The game plays similarly to standard Capcom fighters, and parries are commands with whiff recovery. There are more chain combos than 3S but not to the level of Guilty. Gameplay is largely based around spacing and footsies.

This is the layout: (yes, we are using faggot number notation)

7 8 9
4 5 6 A B C
1 2 3

A = light attack
B = medium attack
C = heavy attack
A+B + direction = throw
A+B = tech throw
B+C = reflect (parry)
A+B+C = Level 3 super

Specials are done with standard SF motions and A, B, or C. Supers are done with the motion plus B+C. When you have 3 levels, press A+B+C and you'll do your level 3; no motion required.

What about gameplay footage?

There's also Niconico videos of Blitz linked throughout the thread, keep an eye on Rithli's posts for the latest from Japan.

Older PC version footage:

Wei tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dItR1Wb6zxA)
Marilyn Sue tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bu38tmYOQ8Q)
Basic Soldat combos and loops (http://youtube.com/watch?v=n5D4B2qlBNM)
Blitzkampf community Youtube account (http://www.youtube.com/user/xUberSoldatx)
Some Mycale stuff (http://www.youtube.com/user/mytuki)

How do I watch shit on Niconico?

Click here. (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=8551398) You need to register for an account. It's free.

This game looks fucking boring.

Blitz is supposed to have a very approachable system which is easy to learn with emphasis on spacing and mindgames. The game is more fun to play than to watch, and once you play the game you can watch matches and begin to appreciate the depth of the mental battle.

Why did you start a new thread?
Because woof doesn't check SRK that often so he can't update the old thread (http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=125986).

IRC channel?
#akatsuki, irc.mizuumi.net.

ARCADE SPECIFIC CHANGES?

Woo, awesometastic.

Arcade footage should be popping up pretty soon, assuming from the number of Akatsuki AA events held in various Japanese arcades along the duration of March. One of the first events/tournies is being held is at Kohatsu, and since those guys are usually pretty good about uploading vids, updated content shouldn't be too long.

Due to the lack of vids being upped, I've been (obsessively) stalking the 2ch AA forums, and it seems like it's recieving a good response.

Kanae vs Anonym (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Eg1P2mxQFE)
Fritz vs Fritz (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbO29H59shI) (epic due to the music and an edited Mycale's/Perfecti's stage)
Fritz vs Anonym (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tz2DPVN9Tk)

And if my eyes serve me right, then, whoah, it seems Anon is the ranbat winner. Madness.

Awesome matches, nekich. That Anonym was great; it's making me want to learn how to use her properly. Fritz's dash effect looks really good too. Boo for the fluorescent orange blood though.

And good luck to you people building an Akatsuki community in the US. This game deserves attention.

Of course, they would need help with publishing, wouldn't they? The fact that they published this game in the Arcades by themselves is already something....

I have a feeling ShoK helped Subtle out on this one. ShoK is a professional who worked on Vampire Savior and Arcana Heart 2, and is more notoriously known as the guy who did Monster. He's friends with Subtle, and both the Monster and Akatsuki arcade games are being pushed through Examu.

Besides, it's all the rest of us, who don't stand to be able to even TOUCH the game until/if it gets a port can do.

Word? He worked on Savior, as well? Learn something new every day...

Well, in any case, if Examu is helping them both, than that just hopefully translates to the fact that both games should hopefully get decent arcade play time, and then (ideally) PS2 ports some time in the future. :wgrin:

So, update on the board: Fujita quoted me Y2400 for the shipping via EMS, which means the total price would be Y180,000 + Y2,400, or 182,400 yen (roughly $1758 US).

Call me stupid, but I honestly didn't think they'd change so much from the doujin release to the arcade release. Not so much the tweaking of the system and characters, but it seems like half of everything was redrawn. It's practically Akatsuki 2.0. Also, the orange blood doesn't look near as bad as I thought it might. It's nothing like SamShoII's alien green blood. I'm actually slightly miffed that there are only vids of the less-flashy characters right now. I wanna see the new Sai elbow some faces!

Za intabyuu with Subtle (http://ffl.sakura.ne.jp/topic/press/akatsuki_aa.htm), now in engrish (not a literal (but probably an awful) translation, but you'll get the point....i hope), w/out the "hi-hi, bye-bye" parts. Sorry for the typos.

Q1.What kind of fighting game is Akatsuki Blitzkampf Ausf.Achse (ABK:AA)?
A1.An extremely simple one, that takes both from classic 2D fightings and modern ones.

Q2.What audience does ABK:AA target?
A2.Since it was aimed at simplicity as well as stressing deep mindgame, i think it's potentially suitable to be played by everyone - from beginners to experts, from students to businessmen.

Q3.In game's title, what does "Ausf.Achse" mean?
A3."Ausf", in german language, denotes weapon's pattern number and is short for "Ausführung". "Achse" means "axis" in german. If joined together, in the context of the game it would mean "Axle Type", you can think of it as "A-class". It's somewhat the same as "alpha-bravo-charlie" within the radio alphabet. Needless to say, that in the beginning it was chosen because of single-character "A" and "AC" arcade versions are denoted with.

Q4.What kind of story does ABK:AA tell?
A4.It's centered around the secret "Blitz Engine" weapon, brought forth when an inexhaustible supply of electrical energy had been developed during WW2, and the battle of those connected with it in the past and modern agents after the technology.

Q5.Are there any recommended characters?
A5.First of all, it becomes important to choose a character, as in this game each one was created with strong individuality. But when it comes for recommendations for everyone, then of course it would be Akatsuki, the protagonist. Because he can deal with every situation and is an overall standard character, i think it's ok to get the general idea of the game by playing him. I also recommended him, as a rather combo-friendly character, to those seeking fun.

Another choise would be, for example, Fritz. He's a character that can deal tons of damage with ohe-hit moves, a rarity these days. There's some freshness in this kind of moves. Since this alternative requires timing skills, i recommend it to those who prefer such a play style.

Q6.The ABK series also had doujin titles in the past, which one gave the most troubles with development?
A6.In short, it's "own hands are not enough", but, to make matters worse, during the arcade development time restricitions were added to this statement.

Q7.During the development of the ABK series, were there any interesting moments?
A7.There was an accident in the final stages of the arcade version development, when a fire alarm went off close to the place i worked at. I expected some troubles with development, but surely not of this kind. At once i had to hide all of the data and machine parts, and after i went out to find out about the source of fire, it, naturally, turned out to be a joke.

Q8.Following the steps of Melty Blood, ABK from a doujin game turned into an arcade title. Any details on how it happened?
A8.Last year, in April, a little while after the distribution of ABK had begun, i was invited to the ABK tourney, where many times i came along the conversations regarding ABK's transformation into an arcade title. Shortly after being presented to this development "proposal", i was confused with how to use the NAOMI board, but the results of studying it somehow led me to the decision that it seems possible.

Q9.From now on will you concentrate on developing the arcade version, without the doujin production?
A9.It's undecided, as of now. I think it will be decided depending on how the arcade version will perform. One way or another, i'll resume the interrupted (since i have to make sure all machines are operational) planning for the arcade version.

Q10.Well then, in conclusion, one word to all of the ABK:AA players, please.
A10.First of all, try this game out. It all depends on players whether this series will live on or not.

If Subtle Style really is rolling with EXAMU and their new board, then I would think that a PS2 port would probably be first on the menu. Then maybe they'll just release a new version of the game for the PC, much like how the case was done with Melty Blood: AC.

Lol you were just looking for an excuse to run a loli with a hat, I bet. :razzy:

So my take on the wk1 footage...It's fucking tragic. The TRF dudes are just getting started and Ko-hatsu pplz never knew how to play ABK to begin with =/ . Everyone is running trash bnbs, strats, etc. and they really seem as if they have no idea as to whats going on. Although it's only wk1, I still expected to a bit more solid play as the game isnt really 'new' to japan. Oh well, whatever - I'm sure in about 3mths or less Japan will be quite beast *remembers wk1 HNK and AH :shake:* and hopefully the 'old school' PC pros step out of their homes to show cats whats really good.

Best wk1 footage goes to these guys http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2510726.
Solid spacing, had a nice pace to the fight and they knew what to do when they got the down. Also, random p2 crossups for kanae? Hmmm gotta look into that.

So far Im really feeling Pefecti and she's not looking nearly as cheap as thought she was when loketests first popped up. She seems like mix between myc and mura: utilizing solid zoning and appears to have much potential with corner lockdown using varied projectiles and pokes. I intend to use her aggressively.

random stuff i noticed w/ perfecti:
- JC seems to be instant overhead. Coupled w/ tri-ball and ex tri-ball im sure she can set up some devastating oki and still manage to slip in combo follow ups after opening up.

- (ex) chain grab does chip?! Reflector>B chain seems to be a somewhat effective combo from midscrn. Low in damage but I bet theres some sneaky way to slip in a bit more damage (other than 6c[?] - what japan is using) and setup tri-ball oki before the chain releases. theory fighterrrrrrrrr

- jumping dive attack looks good for pressure/fakes and possibly for setting up tri-ball crossup shenanigans for oki

- other than tri-ball taking forever to detonate (looks REALLY easy to slip past w/o getting hit), it looks like pretty damn solid even in the most absurd instances. One of the matches showed tri-ball hitting TWICE. Once for the initial launch then again as it returns. Maybe some dashes mixed in ala Myc can create even more havoc.

- does pefecti even have any lows? I doubt her 2a hits low as NO ONE in the game has a low hitting 2a. If she has zero lows then the jC 'mixup' i mentioned would become useless lol.

- saw a nice anti-air normal a couple of times where she angles the spear up and twirls it once. TRF players weren't using it enough though =( . In loketest vids i saw that she could cancel off this normal.

- jC vs airborne opponent instantly downs them. Possible tri-ball oki attempt upon landing?? I know i would have tried for it.

- Perfecti looks like Fate Testarossa (http://staryume.net/img/0701/fate01.jpg)...............w/o a nazi cap. And the main char from that series (nanoha something) has a staff that looks an awful lot like Perfecti's own staff. :wonder:

Meh, whatever. So hype for blitz right now. New win poses and animations are SICK!! Must.................play.....................NOW

.....Hmmmm now that I think about it.....Doesn't daruism rep D-Ken.net? I believe they've been playing since the earliest PC versions. Whatever, I could be wrong....

Anyway those were some tight vids. I just wished the kanae player tried for her counter special (214X - preferably 214B to catch those 2B's/5A's) at least once per match. Has way more active frames than a (random) reflect attempt and depending on scrn positioning you can rack up some nice damage.

Anonym was buffed in the arcade version. She got a couple major buffs from what I understand.

The new players probably just got tired of playing run-away style though. We probably will see more nuns once they figure out how to play her aggressively and people familiarize themselves with the game more.

You're probably better off asking Rithli or Nekich for specific details on what was changed. I've only spoken briefly with a Japanese Anonym player so the only things I really know is that they buffed her landing recovery, so firing shots close to the ground and spamming air flop boots is a heck of a lot safer and more reliable in the arcade ver. I've also been told her ground flip kick is a bit better, but I don't know the specifics on that. I assume there were other changes, but those are the major ones that I was told of.

Regarding Tank, I think most people automatically assume that it's a joke character and write it off as a novelty without giving it too much examination. But naturally I don't speak for everyone so just use your own judgment.

In reality Tank is a lot more complicated and that's been proven. The Tank is actually got some things going for it, it's not mindless mashing buttons. It has setups, tricks, traps, and solid combos like the rest of the cast.

However, be that as it may, it still has a lot of bad matchups and it's still pretty much a lower-tier character. Even at it's full potential it has to work harder than the rest of the cast, it's not really a free ride, especially against it's bad matchups.

Add that to the fact that they nerfed the superarmor in the arcade version and I think that's roughly why people don't hop on Tank all that much.

So is this game coming to US Arcades (imported, of course)? im not from there but i got some hopes that the US community of the game can support it fiercely and, well, you never know, maybe can play it on Evo next year?

Here in my country there are some intentions to bring the game on a local Arcade but the chances are very slim because they want to get some money and better bring SFIV, Tekken 6 and KOF98UM...

This is a recording of the radio segment from April 5th mentioned on the Ausf Asche main site. The speakers give the game some exposure by introducing some of the key/widely used characters by the players in arcades, their moves, and chat about characters they like to use. Nothing too intricate and mostly composed of casual talk, but it's just something fun and geeky to watch if you're interested in the game on more than just a gameplay level and can understand some japanese.

Casual information or not, it's good to see the amount of attention the game is getting over there.

---

Some things they talk about in the show:

- The guy on the far left in black seems to be the seiyuu of Akatsuki for the arcade version. When he introduces his moves and reads its descriptions, he says it in Akatsuki's voice. TE! Ore wa RAIJIN, etc etc.

- They briefly introduce the Blitz Engine -- a key element in Akatsuki Blitzkampf's storyline, and some silly trivia about it. Apparently, the Blitz Engine burns calories and can be a good supplement for dieting.

- Kanae's 2a -> 6c (palm) staggers. I reckon this is a guard string a lot of newbies of the game can't get around because it looks like it's an infinite, and they talk about how it isn't.

- The lady host likes to use Perfecti.

- At the end of the show, they talk about a mail-in contest involving Wei, but I didn't catch too much of it.

The leaves don't replace the blood. The blood is just orange and white (censored, obviously).

But the leaves pop out after the "blood" is done spurting because the move is supposed to be momiji no kagura (or momiji no mai?). If it was uncensored the leaves would still pop out in addition to the regular blood.

Ok, so it was announced quite a while ago (in may, to be exact) at AA official website, that there will be a big battle meeting thingy, sorta like a huge tourney. Go and see for yourself:

The format of that meeting is pretty impressive: it'll have 1v1, 2v2 and even 3v3 tourney. Players for 1v1 will be seeded - preliminaries are to be held in June-August in several arcade centers, starting June 21st (last Saturday, that is).

http://img165.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00466yh8.jpg

Sai is quite nerfed, 236 B and C are shorter and slower and C version does not launches as high, lessening combo potential. The change for close 2C has already been listed here, 5C has more recovery so you must use 2A instead of 2B to combo after it. One good thing though, it's easier to link 2A after the new 6B, 236BC has a new animation but it doesn't change damage or combo ability.

For Akatsuki it actually takes timing to combo after the new 6B now, but overall he fells the same than on the pc version.
Also Perfecti is quite scrubby IMO, i don't think she will be so strong in the long run but she's a pain to deal with at first (note that me and most of the people who plays here don't have much experience on the pc version).

Maho

Well like i said i don't think she's strong, it's just that you get ho to play her really fast, but it takes a more time to find how to counter her zoning, especially with slower characters (for exemple i didn't have much problems with murakumo, thanks to his speed).

Edit : While i'am at it, here's some things i found with her, i don't remember seeing this in vids (but i didn't saw much with her), she as a corner fireball loop :

(jC) c5B > 236C > 5A > 236B > 2A > 5B > 236A, does decent damage (3523 on Akatsuki starting with jC), super cancel into 236BC for a little more damage (3992) or 214BC for pressure, if you have a Drei charged you can do 5B > release after 236B for a little more damage (3619).
This only work on standing (236C will miss otherwise) except for Tank and Murakumo which are hit even crouching, on the rest of the cast when crouched do : c5B > 236B > 2A > 5B > 236A.

My advice would be to do 214A instead of 236A at the end for an interesting okizeme.
Just after that jump in with a late jC, you negate reflectors like most chars can do with late jump ins, but you also have 214A projectile that will mess with some reversals, also if you opponent reflect jC then the projectile, free throw.
Now let's say the guy just block, the projectile hits just after the jump in, then 2C for low or jump back jC for overhead. Upon 2C hit, combo into > 2A > 5B..., you can also empty jump into throw, or 5A if you think the guy will try to throw you.
Replace 214A with 214BC gives more damage off all variants, and of course you can 214 B or C to change the setup.
Also if jC hits, you can obviously just do the loop again or land and quickly jump into the max super, the 214A projectile hitstun is long enough for it to combo, doing nice damage (6569 on Akatsuki).

Got it for 50.000 yens on Yahoo auction, you can find it for 40k now but only cartridge with copies of the instructions.

Are you familiar w/ any specific reflector combo juggles for 1131sp1 that no longer work in AA? Supposedly gravity was altered for reflector strikes.
Yes there is more gravity on reflector combos, for exemple in corner with Akatsuki you can no longer do the 214A loop after, if you do reflector > f5B > 214A, you can easely do a 5B on pc but here you can just link 2A and the gravity makes 214A to whiff. Another exemple with Sai, reflector > 236C > 5A > 5B > 236B > 214BC (all hits), the timng after 236C is stricter and the super will whiff. Also, reflector have some damage reduce, i think it's about 30%, so overall its use is quite nerfed.

For other chars, i'll try to look into next week as i'm a little busy for now.

In the Sol vs Fritz match, Fritz comboed into his lvl3 and Sol managed to live even though he barely had any health. Does the lvl3 prorate a lot more now? Or is there more proration after reflectors and/or 2A?

Maho
08-08-2008, 02:56 PM
Like i said, there is a prorate from the reflector now, an exemple when i tested Marylin today, against Akatsuki reflector into lvl3 super does 4019dmg for 5852 in the pc version.

Speaking of Marylin, some answers for Zee Tee Bee, starting with some changes i noticed, all damage numbers are on Akatsuki :

- 1st and second hits of B and C rekkas does a little more damage, B goes from 700 to 800 and C from 800 to 1000. Sadly 3rd hit has more recovery so it's the end of combos after it except for a super :/

- 4x launcher after 1st rekka has more recovery, the 5A 6B... combo isn't possible anymore.

- 1st hit of [2]-8 C does 600 instead of 850, but following hits does more damage so the total of 4 hits is 1778 instead of 1731 if you land it directly, but it's a downgrade in combos if you super cancel it.

- Air throw ejects the opponent father, you can still combo after it but only in st corner with [2]-8 C into 214BC or lvl3, of 236AA if you don't have meter (but it's really hard).

- The 5C bounce is quite a biggest nerf imo as you'll see in combos, also links after it are a lot harder now.

Basic bnb is now : 2A > 2B > 5B > 236B > 4B > 2A > 236CBB, 2307dmg or 3620 with 214BC ender.

Midscreen 5C > 2B > 236CBA, 2331dmg and 3565 with 214BC (can be lower if you're far from the corner and the super doesn't hit fully).

In corner :

- 5C > 2B > 5B (1hit) > 236BBB, 2426dmg, 3658 with 214BC ender and 6498 with lvl3.

- 5C > 5A > [6] delay 6B > 2A > 2B > 5B > 214A, 2616dmg, 3843 with 214BC and 6671 with lvl 3. The problem is that this combo is way harder than the previous one, you 'll need to go forward before 6B for a few frames or the following 5B will miss (actually the 2nd hit of 2B will if you din't move at all). Also you'll need to have good timing overall to get the 214A to hit, and uber perfect just frame timing on all links and cancels to get 214BC to hit (lvl 3 is a bit easier), so i'm not sure if it's a reliable combo in versus.

A bunch of AA casuals recorded from Alpha Station in Japan. Nine vids, about 17~20 minutes each. There's a lot of Marilyn Sue in there, so Mary users should be happy.

Oh man, cant wait for the big jp abk:aa tourney. This is pretty much abk's sbo. IIRC several qualifiers took place for top spots and such so I expect to see some fierce and serious assed gameplay in top 16ish or so.

The niconico vids are also killer. DGLSDJFOIJWOing Wei! (a real word couldnt describe how insane he was). And the yellow mari was tight. He used some strats that looked vaugely familiar. . .

MISSION COMPLETE.

The AKATSUKI OFFICIAL (http://www.ko-hatsu.com/akatsuki_official/) tournament was held at Kohatsu last weekend. According to their blog post (http://d.hatena.ne.jp/ko-hatsu/20080902) in regards to the tournament, it sounds like things were very hype in general and the turnout of players + spectators was bigger than expected. So all in all, the event was a big success. Congratulations to all the players, the tourney staff, and Subtle Style. According to the post, it's stated that they will post videos of finals in a couple of days. So in the meantime, the brackets and winners results are below.

Singles Results: http://f.hatena.ne.jp/ko-hatsu/20080903123344

1st: E-Soldat
2nd: Anonym

Teams Results: http://f.hatena.ne.jp/ko-hatsu/20080903123345

2 ON 2 Teams
1st: E-Soldat x E-Soldat
2nd: Sai x Blitztank

3 ON 3 Teams
1st: Anonym x Anonym x Anonym (!)
2nd: Adler x Kanae x Fritz

The results (atleast to me) are somewhat surprising. Anonym remains strong in Japan. It's also a bit astonishing and refreshing to see the entirety of the game's cast to be represented in a tournament.

You need to sign up a NicoNico account. A tutorial on that is here (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=8551398). Can I suggest adding this to the OP, so people won't have to keep asking?

I admit I laughed irl at that mistimed parry at the end. Is that netplay hack for the PC version much better than the standard netplay? The last time I tried the standard netplay (ages ago) me and the other guy who was in the US had to rachet it up to the full 9 frames to get anything approaching playable.

And now, for a better set of videos.

http://d.hatena.ne.jp/ko-hatsu/20080911/1221134150

Final matches for 1on1, 2on2, and 3on3. The vids are embedded Niconico, so you shouldn't need an account to view them.

Highlights include the 2nd Sol actually knowing how to play somewhat, and the 2nd nun on 2on2 being played fairly aggressively and flashy.

Master Chibi
09-11-2008, 09:07 PM
I like that second nun too, but that play-style does get her hurt a bit much and it looks like it's incredibly hard to keep up. His patterns were nice, they extended themselves very well.

I'm definitely x-copying 5C anti air xx 236B and low j.2A/B/C whiff into 214/C xx 236BC.

Good stuff.

VERY good find , Rithli!

This match set is as good as it gets. THE BEST ABK:AA footage out now, i kid you not. This particular group far exceeds the majority of the (sad) JP ABK:AA players and they seem to be on par with those of the 1131sp group on niconico. Guh, I was just....amazed and glued to the monitor (probably not blinking lol) for every second of passing footage.

I'm looking forward to seeing a next batch from these guys, seriously

Some double-take changes:

Murakumo's (pizza) mines (22a/b/c [not sure about ex version]) are no longer persistent. If he receives damage when a mine is set the mine will vanish completely. IMO this is a significant nerf and will hurt his (bs) corner pressure a bit.

Sai's Curse (22xa/b/c) deals damage now in addition to still inflicting attribute changes. Possibly able to chip death? Nice buff for Sai considering the range those eye beams lol

Notable players

Sikio (myc)
bad ass myc user and was running some serious casting strings as well as solid pressure. Very smart player and had sharp reflexes. actually a lot of these players were just plain smart.

tornado (sol)
iirc this soldat user took the 1on1 kohatsu event and hes running some preeety familiar shit:wonder:. If I didnt know any better I'd say he was watching....naaah. Was running the boot loops and had an 'interesting' ex corner juggle that netted some mean damage.

nok-ichibiri (dat tank)
wow this dude....fucking scary. Rushdown tank?! Had some sick oki off 5c (overhead and very hard to ground tech to on reaction). I almost messed my pants when he got in gear.

Everyone else was DAMN GOOD but the 3 above were my personal favorites. I hope ABK fans get to spec these vids. They wont be sorry (this time lol)

Yep, that Soldat is the one that took 1st place in the 1on1 tourney and is also one of the Soldats in the 2on2 E.Soldat team. Speaking of which, all three players you mentioned participated in AKATSUKI OFFICIAL. The Blitztank player was paired up with a Sai for the 2on2. While there are no tourney vids for Siki0, if I recall correctly that person was one of ABK testers (according to the game's staff/credit roll <- will have to watch it again and get back to you on that).

I just really want to play the arcade version where anomym is so good. I deal with a lot of crap to win with her. I still love her tho.

Any chance of this game ever coming here? If arcana hearts can do it why not this?

Master Chibi

Anonym looks the same as the PC version, save the 'bigger' bullets.

So really it's the people playing making her good, not the other way around.

vulcanblaze
11-20-2008, 11:02 AM
She looks like she got some priority in her moves and got a bit faster from what I have seen. There got to be a reason why everyone now plays her in Ausf.Achse.

Anyone still play online? I need some good comp. I only play my other friend and I want to play some experienced players. We gotta continue our fight to spread the word on this awesome game.

Rithli
11-20-2008, 02:03 PM
Japan (to be more specific, Kohatsu) has always shown a liking to Anonym since the PC version and have always placed her in higher tiers compared to us.

It's just a matter of those players having a good grasp of the character than her getting changes. Also, as far as I know, outside of graphical updates, the only thing Anonym received for the arcade version was a minor(?) nerf to her level 3 ABC.

Xenozip.
11-20-2008, 04:58 PM
The only time I heard anything about Anonym was when speaking with ShoK, who said her landing recovery after firing air bullets and air specials was improved.

Though that might not be an actual change, but he seemed pretty adamant that she was much stronger in the AA version because of "landing pose" changes.

vulcanblaze
11-20-2008, 08:22 PM
I guess it was me secretly wanting her to get buffs then. Doesn't matter I still play her in PC ver. anyways

What is the tier list for Ausf. Achse anyways? Just curious.

Rithli

This seems to be the general consensus within jp boards:

Top: Akatsuki, Wei
High: Murakumo, Sai, Anonym, Mycale
Mid: Marilyn, E. Soldat, Adler, Fritz, Kanae
Bottom: Blitztank, Perfecti

The order and placement of characters among the High and Mid categories shift a bit depending on the poster, but they seem to agree on the Top and Bottom more or less. Mura and Anon are almost always listed in high in most lists, whereas Mycale and Marilyn jump around a lot.

Was Fritz nerfed or something? I remember him being pretty high in the PC version.
