I'm going to keep it simple and own the universe while I do it:
Graphics: Yeah, lots of character models suck and it definitely reminds me of SF EX (which was a solid, fun game but not quite Worthy, and ugly as fuck) in a bad way. However, a few char models are actually good, the backgrounds are good, the game is colorful and the voices and combat sound effects are great. The special effects (fireballs, flames, electricity, camera movement on ultras) are cool and the ANIMATION of the characters, the adaptation of 2D moves to 3D, the muscle animations, textures, hair, clothes and ragdoll physics in addition to the dynamic facial expressions are all awesome and worthy. It all makes for simply exceptional animation.
WAIT! DID YOU SAY ANIMEICHON?
Yes, yes I did motherfucker, Capcom knows the soul of street fighter. Animation saves the visuals from being a failure and actually makes the game look good. HD doesn't hurt of course.
Gameplay: Good decisions were made. Might not be your favorite but it'll be excellent gameplay. The predictive counters were always something cool (geese howard, Remy's 3rd combo) and complement classic SF goodness nicely. Clear win, not too innovative, perhaps, but definitely extremely solid.
Characters roster: Shit gonna be pretty cash. Abel and C. Viper are not really cool looking but their moves are cash and promise goodness. More characters to be revealed, this is at least B+ roster
Online multiplayer: Who the fuck knows. I have a good feeling about it though. It'll be miles ahead of the criminal garbage we deal with in SF2HF for 360 (God those programmers should be shot...really. 30 motherfucking second resync disguised as 15 "time units" 100 billions times a day? JESYS WTF??!!!!)
CONCLUSION: We all now think that, while SF4 may have a few cosmetic flaws and might not innovate and awe as much as we had dreamed, it's still going to be a great, fresh fighting game in the 9.1-9.5 / 10 range and it shall bring us much enjoyment and happiness.
