SF4 was not made for me. I'd have wanted cell-shaded models with an artstyle somewhere between SFA3 and 3s (SFA3 is too cheerful and pg13 and 3s, well, it does have a great, unique artstyle. But variety is good)
It would totally have ultras, though, perhaps even hidden ones that require continued input! (*Sigh*...Who knows, maybe some day...)
Ahem, in any case, will the casual gamers who might play Tekken/VF/SC/DOA once in a while and who might have played SF2 back in the day get a strong, lasting enthusiasm for the game that does what we all dream of: bring back the golden 1992-1996 era, perhaps online this time around, but with an explosion of prize tournaments and lots of talented 11 YOs to humiliate us ?
Are the pretty fireballs, the flashy ultras, expressive characters and brand recognition going to fill a void? Will they add the piece Namco, Sega and SNK's arguably very high-quality offerings were missing, the way SF2 added the gameplay ingredients necessary to make fighting games actually fun?
Or will it be just another brick in the wall.
WE DON'T NEED NOOO EEEEDUCAAATION!
Ahem. Discuss.
