Man, I think it would be cool if Capcom imbedded some sort of tournament team play format into the game. I mean, team tournies are cool and all, but I would like to see more team oriented games. Not just "phat ringer wins the whole game for his inferior team mates."

It'd be cool if there was a team format like the ones found in CVS2, A3 home versions, Tekken home versions, KOF etc. where damage and meter carry over (for the most part) between rounds and whatnot so you have to actually plan ahead.

Not just... play full matches and start from square one each time a new person comes on like they do with, say, 3s at SBO which I think kinda defeats the purpose.

Anyway, i've always wanted to see true team play tournaments. Since we haven't heard anything about something like this in SF4 by now, i'm sure it's not being considered. Maybe for future iterations?

I don't know about tournaments, but I do miss the Team Play from Tekken. It served as a fun side alternative after playing the normal way. I don't know why it's not included in more fighters since it's such an easy mode to add in.

Indeed. I thought they were fun. But they have whole tournaments dedicated to team play. But the weird thing is... there's really no actual "team" play. Just 3 people playing one after the other. No different than a line of people playing at an arcade.

Yuck... the only way, it seems, to get input around here is to have some sort of controversial content in the topic...

No one here has ever participated in a team tournament?

Can't say that I have, in fact I've never seen a tourney done that way. My memories of T3 Team Play are good ones though. Some fun intense matches came out of it, and a whole lotta trash talking. Good times.

I know SBO does it and they always have one at the NorCal Regionals. I guess I just assumed that people did them everywhere.
